Boots worn by JK Rowling during writing of 'Philosopher's Stone' to be auctioned off

Proxbid.com is auctioning off a pair of boots that were worn by JK Rowling when she was writing several chapters of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'.

According to MarketWatch.com, the boots were sent by JK Rowling to Emily Waldo, a then fifth grade student, in Omaha, Nebraska back in December of 1999 as part of a school project. The boots, which show signs of wear, have been encased in a specially made glass case since they arrived at the school.

Along with the boots, the highest bidder will receive a signed questionaire that was filled out by JK Rowling herself, detailing the life of the shoes.  There is also a letter from her assistant Fiddy Henderson, who sent the boots to the school.
