Today marks a significant birthday in the wizarding world as Hermione Jean Granger, known as the brightest witch of her age, celebrates her 32nd birthday.

Hermione, the only child of muggle dentists, who along with her best friends Ron Weasley and Harry Potter became instrumental in the defeat of the Dark Lord on May 2, 1998.

After helping to defeat Lord Voldemort, Hermione returned to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on September 1st, 1999 to continue her studies, pass her N.E.W.T.s and graduate.

Upon her graduation, Hermione was hired by the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, where she played an important role in improving the quality of life for house-elves and other disenfranchised creatures. She currently holds a position in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement where she continues to work towards putting an end to the pro-pureblood laws that still remain in the wizarding world.

Hermione is currently married to Ronald Bilius Weasley and is the mother of two children, Rose and Hugo Weasley, and godmother to Harry Potter's eldest son James Sirius Potter.
