Throughout the years, Harry Potter's fans have expressed their passion for the series in many diverse and creative ways. Yet there may not be anything... catchier... than writing your own tune about it. This week's fandom videos segment showcases two different types of music.
Our first video is a medley - composed and performed by YouTube artist "Paint" - called "Harry Potter in 99 Seconds." The only thing more stunning than the video (of the same guy, duplicated, a capella performing the story of the entire series separated by themes from the different years on film) is how many covers and response videos it has had, from various members of the web. Click around (at this link) and see all of the different versions!
And then, there is that special place in every Potter fan's heart for Wizard Rock. During a 2007 tour of Liverpool, England, musical group Harry and the Potters performed their hit "Save Ginny Weasley" and prefaced it with a strong message of peace and community. Their performance can be viewed here.
Thanks to Carlie B. for suggesting this week's featured video. If you know of a video that you would like to submit, you can do so right here. See you next week!
