MuggleNet Fan of the Week: Leanna

This week's Fan of the Week is Leanna from Ohio, US. She is a very special Fan of the Week, because not only does she love Harry Potter, but she is an author herself and has an amazing book, Darker Still, that is being released this Tuesday, November 8th!

In her fantasy novels, Leanna's style is very much inspired by JKR, who writes in the point of view called 3rd person limited omniscient. The rest of Leanna's novels are mostly influenced by the classic gothic novels of the 19th century, the time period where a majority of her novels take place. She thinks a lot about the antiquity of the era, and was inspired by thinking about what Hogwarts would be like in 1888.

Leanna is also a huge Alan Rickman, and Professor Snape, fan, and says this about WB's push for Oscar nominations:

"If Alan doesn't win an Oscar, I am going to launch a campaign, and I want all of you to be with me! We are gonna have a problem. The Academy & I are going to have words."
