J.K. Rowling buries time capsule to mark start of work on MS clinic

Earlier today, J.K. Rowling buried a time capsule to mark the start of construction on the neurodegenerative disease clinic at the University of Edinburgh. The clinic, to which JKR donated 10 million pounds, will be named after her mother, Anne, who died of the disease.

In the capsule are written accounts of people living with the disease, as well as hopes and dreams of future treatments written by clinicians.

At the ceremony, Jo said, "I believe that this clinic will have a huge positive effect on both of those areas in the future. I am enormously impressed in what has gone into setting up the clinic so far, and I look forward to seeing it completed and making further great strides in research and treatment."
