Last chance to buy MuggleNet t-shirts
Warner Bros. licensing department contacted MuggleNet and other HP fan sites to stop the sale of unlicensed products like t-shirts. WB understands that our loyal fans are also their best customers, so they were nice enough to offer us a limited opportunity to sell our merchandise. They've given us until the end of the year, so if you were planning on buying a shirt(s), there are only 32 shopping days left!

Styles available: In addition to the MuggleNet shirts currently being offered, MuggleCast, Chamber of Secrets forum and MuggleNet Fan Fiction shirts are also available for sale!

For a limited time, we are also offering free shipping on purchases over $25! Click here for our merchandise section.

Posted by AccioSeverus Nov 28th 2006

i may buy one for myself for christmas..

Posted by LDJames Nov 28th 2006

Hi Emerson, why is WB allowed to do that? If the shirts contained no Potter symbols or fonts, would they be fine? That doesn't seem right...

Posted by phoenix_lot Nov 28th 2006

I already got three of them! Of course, I'm not supposed to know that because they're supposed to be Hanukkah presents. :)

Posted by JeNaN Nov 28th 2006

Posted by joshholly Nov 28th 2006

Stupid WB...who do they think they are???

Posted by christianaeg Nov 28th 2006

ok ok... if i can tell someone i want one!! Gak there's no other Mugglenetters where i am..

Posted by larisa Nov 28th 2006

I only have one tee, the one i bought at Spellbound in chicago. :D

Posted by m00n_un1t_luna Nov 28th 2006

But why? I don't get it. The shirts are for the website not Harry Potter! I'm buying one for Emerson! Not Harry!!! NOOOO!!!!

Posted by lilac_kazz Nov 28th 2006

I shall buy more t-shirts!!

Posted by phoenixlament Nov 28th 2006

i really want one, but yet again my parents don't like harry potter, and won't even think before they say no. =( NOOOOOO

Posted by christianaeg Nov 28th 2006

What???? nooooo!!! It's Mugglenet's choice!! WB can't boss Mugglenet can they? If the tee shirts and stuff don't have the lightning bolt or any HP symbol, can they still be sold? That would have nothing to do with Mugglenet!! Muggleshop will still be open right? What about Alivan's? What about the Mugglenet book?? Can they keep selling that?? So many questions.... someone make a petition about this... i'll sign it... or i might make one later lol!!!

Posted by u_muggle_fool Nov 28th 2006

OK....I'M TELLING U, I'M BUYING THAT T-SHIRT! PROCRASTINATERS LOSE! I KNOW I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO FORGIVE MYSELF IF I DON'T! top 15?

Posted by Witchy_Woman Nov 28th 2006

I never knew why you guys were discontinuing them.

Posted by DUI_King Nov 28th 2006

Ok.. so how can WB justify telling a website to stop selling t-shirts that promote their website, and has no copyright infringements on it? I suppose next Mugglenet will have to pay WB to even post news on Harry Potter? This world is ludicrous.

Posted by HPotterLove7 Nov 28th 2006

actually considering buying one now...

Posted by marsisbrighttonight Nov 28th 2006

im not allowed to buy stuff online =( why was this posted before, and then taken down? *ponders*

Posted by Freddie_Phoenix Nov 28th 2006

Too bad I live in Sweden. Anything from the US ends up at around $400 when it finally gets here...

Posted by polkadots56 Nov 28th 2006

i don't like how WB is stopping this :(

Posted by Witchy_Woman Nov 28th 2006

darn Warner Bros. We weren't hurting anything by selling T-shirts and hats!

Posted by skates Nov 28th 2006

OH I want one!

Posted by GryffindorGirl Nov 28th 2006

How do you get the free shipping on orders over $25? I just attempted to make such an order, but it said it was going to charge me $12 shipping.

Posted by gryffindor_gurl Nov 28th 2006

WHAT?????????????????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! hm.... i wonder if emerson would autograph mine..... jk

Posted by dobby_rocks Nov 28th 2006

I have thought about getting one or two , well i still have over 32 days to decided I guess I can understand why WB doesn’t want this because even though it has to do with the site, its essential making money off of Harry Potter. I'm suprised they were selling this as long as they were.

Posted by buzzette Nov 28th 2006

well, who would have known!

Posted by MCR_Potter_Fan Nov 28th 2006

Stupid question but I MUST KNOW. Does that mean that they wont be able to sell the book they made?! Dam. Im glad I bought my MN Sweatshirt when I did. *Sigh*..... *Sigh again*...... *Another sigh*..... Must go listen to MuggleCast to cheer me up v_V

Posted by ConCon Nov 28th 2006

BOO! What if someone can't afford one and they're saving up? honestly! that's gay...

Posted by hpwizkid Nov 28th 2006

uh........ok? I think JK should tell WB they aren't allowed to have anything to do with Harry Potter, see how they like it.....I can make my own t-shirt for heaven's sake and what are they going to do about it? *sighs, crosses arms, and pouts* WB does not control HP! Petition, anyone?

Posted by lillink1222 Nov 28th 2006

Oh no!! Im so totally making sure that my parents buy me one for Christmas.

Posted by Deadsy Nov 28th 2006

Eff WB. Is there no way this can be stopped? It's JKR's opinion that's important to us, and if she was against it she would've said so. I suppose she's already completely out of the contract now and they don't have to listen to her though. That's effing lame . Mugglenet promotes for WB free of charge and this is big part of how it stays online.

Posted by GorgeousGinnyxoxoxox Nov 28th 2006

ohhh i want one!!! But i don't have that kind of money right now!!!!! Nooo don't go!!!!!!!!

Posted by bookishballerina Nov 28th 2006

WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?? ????????????????????????? ?? What jerks! I HATE WB now. The sincerest fan base ever in existence is being undermined by the coporate mentality of WB. Letters to the editor, everybody!

Posted by Witchy_Woman Nov 28th 2006

This is all very sad. Truly it is.

Posted by pinktangerine Nov 28th 2006

This is one of the stupidist things I have ever heard!!! How do mugglenet tshirts hurt WB??? I mean come on people! I say we all boycot WB products when the next movie comes out. I for one do not own any WB HP stuff and plan to keep it that way. I'm a fan of the books not the movies and thats why I come to mugglenet b/c I want BOOK news and info. I want to show off my HP pride in a way that doesn't premote the movies and that's why mugglenet t's were so great! I'm going to buy a bunch of them as x-mas gifts for people just to spite WB. So there!

Posted by lalala Nov 28th 2006

it"s lind of ironic how mn and leajy were actually CAMPAIGNING against unauthorized hp merchendise, and now are going to lose so much money because of it! It's really kind of sad. I don't think that the book will be discontinued, though. It's an actual product that you can buy at a store, and they would have mentioned it in the news post. good thing i already got my t-shirt! :) still sux that they have to take them away. and they just got some really kool new mugglecast t-shirts, too! :( wait...oh no...OMG DOES THIS MEAN THAT ALIVANS IS GONE NOW TOO???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Posted by mischiefmanaged128 Nov 28th 2006

Why can't we just pay WB like $3 for every shirt sold or something and call it a day? Can we even sell shirts with just the word "delusional" or other MuggleNet inside jokes that don't contain words originally in the movies or books? Jo probably would love people to buy MuggleNet t-shirts because she knows the money supports the site. And it's not like MuggleNet hasn't brought WB business: probably over 2000 Happy Feet tickets were purchased by HP fans who just wanted to see the OotP trailer, and it was MuggleNet that told us that it was showing before that movie. I can't believe WB has the audacity to cram the HP books into 2 hours of crap (and disappoint thousands of book-devoted fans) and then pull a stunt like this. If someone's writing a petition, feel free to use my ideas and/or words of disbeliving hatred-just tell me the link because I want to sign.

Posted by hp7fan Nov 28th 2006

this isn't fair. what are we going to do about this guys? i like the petition idea, i wonder what all of the site people (not just mugglenet) are thinking?

Posted by christianaeg Nov 28th 2006

mischiefmanaged128 a few of us who really don't want OotP to be under 3 hours started a petition... here's a link. you have to take out the spaces though for it to work... http://www.petit ionspot.com/petitions/Har ry_Potter_Order_of_Phoeni x

Posted by Miss_Malfoy Nov 28th 2006

Grrr...my computer won't load the page. Is it just me or is the page not working for anyone else?

Posted by Ronaldweasley Nov 28th 2006

I wont to have the t-shirts for ever i mean come on please! There practicly the best selling product why dont we keep um come on please!

Posted by brucem00 Nov 28th 2006

it doesnt make any sense. the shirts dont even say harry potter. Warner Bros does not own the word Mugglenet

Posted by evilbutsexy Nov 28th 2006

That's such BS--YOU PRACTICALLY ADVERTISE FOR THEIR MOVIES; THEY OWE YOU guys. Those *remembers it's a kid's site* money hungry jerks. Grrrr...we should stop buying WB stuff.

Posted by gof_rox_my_sox Nov 28th 2006

omg, that is so ridiculous. doesnt the WB realize that this merchandise only promotes harry potter further?

Posted by sveva22 Nov 28th 2006

That's sad. Too bad for Mugglecast. :( I looked at the shirts they are selling but I don't see the apple squares t shirt. Does anyone know if they stopped offering that one? I liked that design best.

Posted by Rob Nov 28th 2006

Can somebody explain why?

Posted by Phoenix_Valor Nov 28th 2006

CURSE YOU WARNER BROTHERS!!!!! Gah! We should just give them some of the profit whenever a shirt is sold! They don't even OWN the name 'mugglenet' or 'mugglecast'! They just own Harry Potter!....Oh man, this can't be legal! If there is a petition out there, show it to me! Does anyone know if mugglenet accepts checks and/or money orders? I can't order off the internet without my dad killing me. x_x If anyone knows if they accept mail-in orders, please, please, PLEASE let me know! I have to get a t-shirt! :(

Posted by Phoenix_Valor Nov 28th 2006

Still need to vent. They better not make alivans or Noble Collections pull their products! Or any of the wonderfull sites that provide us fans with beautiful HP merchandise! *Crucio WB!**CRUCIO CRUCIO CRUCIO!**AK WarnerBrothers!!!* Oh, man I'm losing it now! CURSE YOU WB! MAY YOU ALL FALL INTO A PIT OF RAVENOUS (sp?) BLAST ENDED SKREWTS!!! Oh, one more thing; I *was* going to see Happy Feet this weekend (and for the movie itself, not the trailer) and give you guys some cash for the company. But you know what? After this, I'm seriously considering waiting a bit longer to see it until the 'pirate' kids at school have black market copies and I can watch it without giving you A DIME! Yay for pirates, AAAARRRR! >:( Now I'll probably be calmed down by the weekend and go see the movie the proper way, but I won't be surprised if I'm not. I'm sorry to sound immature or insane, but WB, you have crossed the line with a very stupid decission.

Posted by mummy_the_house_elf Nov 28th 2006

That's bollicks! The WB is totally out of order! init?
