During a recent interview with the Radio Times, Dan Radcliffe said he was disappointed by the Academy's failure to honour the final installment in the Harry Potter film franchise.

During last month's award nomination announcements, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 received nominations in only three categories: Art Direction, Makeup, and Visual Effects.

Dan stated:

"I don't think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids' films, unless they're directed by Martin Scorsese. I was watching Hugo the other day and going, 'Why is this nominated and we're not?' I was slightly miffed. There's a certain amount of snobbery. It's kind of disheartening. I never thought I'd care. But it would've been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in."

The film series has been nominated for an Oscar in six of the eight films, but ALL of them have been for technical or craft categories, and yet, they have not won one single Oscar. For the most successful film franchise in history, that is a outright shame.

Will 'Potter' win something this year? We wait to find out on February 26th.

Never used an Unforgivable Curse before, have you, boy? You need to mean them, Potter! You need to really want to cause pain — to enjoy it — righteous anger won't hurt me for long — I'll show you how it is done, shall I? I'll give you a lesson —
