With the upcoming release of Suzanne Collins' book to film adaptation of The Hunger Games trilogy, the International Business Times writer Cristina Merrill interviewed our own MuggleNet Staff member Kat Miller on the issues of plot losses that naturally occur during the filming process.

Suzanne Collins co-wrote The Hunger Games screenplay with director Gary Ross and screenwriter Billy Ray and stated her thoughts on the adaptation of her book:

"I'm really happy with how it turned out. I feel like the book and the film are individual yet complementary pieces that enhance one another. The film opens up the world beyond Katniss' point of view, allowing the audience access to the happenings of a place like the Hunger Games control room and President Snow's rose garden, thereby adding a new dimension to the story."

As Harry Potter fans, we have witnessed the full completion of the book series to film adaptations and Kat weighed in on some of the inherent issues faced in bringing the series to film. Some of our favorite scenes in the book are always going to be omitted, and for Kat, the scene she missed the most was "The Lost Prophecy" chapter in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Kat said she liked the chapter because it featured Dumbledore giving young Harry quite a lot of information. "As a Harry Potter fan, there's nothing more important than information."

Understandably, when you have such a depth of information in a book series like Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, there will always be material missing from the films, "They're both so in depth, it's impossible to put everything in."

You can read the entire interview and article right here. Great job Kat!
