another thought that i got while reading some of the comments. for one it may as well be a place where one of the horcruxes lyes. but which one is it. something from ravenclaw, hufflepuff, or griefindor. then there is another one that was thought to be the snake of lv. deathly hallows maybe the name of a cemetary. but im sure we all find out one soon. but not soon enough.

I think the "Deathly Hallow's" is behind the veil in the ministry of magic and in order for harry to beat voldy he will have to go behind the veil and rally all the other wizards and witches that have fallen through into the nothing ness and fight to come back through it. or something like that

I would like to take a break from my exciting screaming and dancing to thank JKR and MuggleNet for changing one fo the worst days of my life into one of the best. :) I had the worst day ever at school, a lot of my friends are mad at me over a vollleyball game, and this was finally something good to happen! i dont really like the title all that much. "deathly" has become such an overused word and doesnt really suite me all that well. im sure the book will be far more impressive.

Well...yes it has been a shock! Finally the title!! But...at first I thought it was a little, but not so a little, simple. Deathly Hallows. Ok, "Hallows" can be anything. We are going to discover it. But "Deathly"...mmm I just thought "well, we already knew we were going to read (also) about death in the final book". It is for this reason that "Deathly" seems to me too simple and obvious. I really hope (and I know) it won't be so simple as I guess now. Bye! Sorry for any mistake.

Smooth...dark....calm.... mysterious....The title is flippin perfect! I'm thinking it might refer to a place like in Riddle's graveyard. Deathly Hallows, whereas Hallows refering to a sacret or holy place. Or maybe the Hogwarts founders created a sacret wizarding world monument to preserve love and life?!? No one knows but it will keep us guessing!!! Thanks Jo!!!!

Marlene might be right about 10/31/07. But it won't be July. Scholastic will not release the book then because it will take away from the release of the movie. They are always months apart. So if a break for the kids, then look for the holiday season 2007.

*CRACK*[apparates] Well, the first thing I found odd was that there wasn't a personal note from Jo regarding this title. Didn't she give one when she gave the title for HBP? The title itself HP and the Deathly Hallows...it's got to grow on you...Maybe the theory of tossing out all three titles before she gives the true title is what is happening here...again, where is the "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" note from her? I don't want to sound selfish, I am grateful for the bones she tosses us, but I am only pointing out the lack of what she has done in the past.

do you know if she will release the other titles she might have been planning on?

this is probably the most cimmetns i have seen for any post. i didnt become a fan until last year, i know... its pathetic! but its just really strange for me. cuz all of a sudden my sister goes "omgosh. they released the title for book 7." (she wasnt very enthusiastic) and its one of those things where im just so used to not knowing the title that when i heard her say that i was like. oh.my.gosh!!! and when i first say the title i was kind of disappointed. but now im ok with it. i would probably have felt the same about all the other titles. but now im kind of sad because now i dont have much to look forward to (bsds actually reading the book) but once you hear the title you just kind of realize that its going to be released soon now and then there wont be any more harry potter to look forward to. and even worse, no mugglecast!!!!! or mugglenet. :(

Omigosh I cant believe it I keep on repeting it over and over like "Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the DeathlyHallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." And peopkle around me think I am INSANE! But wow guys! Think about it...it is just sooo sad ya know? This Is th e beginning of the END! No more HP after the Deathly Hallows. I can hardly like digest the fact that it...is...nearly...over. I mean this had been such an enormous part of all of our lives...the analyzing, the theorizing, the fanfics, the fanart, just the everything that we have been builiding up until now will either be shut down or brought forth in this final book. Good Lord. I can't get over it. We have been obsessing over this amazing amazing book for so long...for most of my life in fact! And now in little more than a year or two it'll be out...and it will all be over. Over. Fin. No More. No more analyzing and podcasting. Over. And just the thought of not feverishly checking Mugglenet or Leaky every five seconds or Waiting on tenterhooks for the next podcast...it is just sad you know? It's nearly done. And I think I will go to my corner and cry. And maybe after all the depression I will go reread all six books. And dudes, If I am so spastic about a TITLE...I will seriously be in trouble when I am holding that book in my hands...and then finishing it. Wow. It's almost over. One glimmer of hope though...It's not over just yet.
