I"M LOVIN IT!!!!!!!

Omigosh I cant believe it I keep on repeting it over and over like "Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Harry Potter and the DeathlyHallows Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." And peopkle around me think I am INSANE! But wow guys! Think about it...it is just sooo sad ya know? This Is th e beginning of the END! No more HP after the Deathly Hallows. I can hardly like digest the fact that it...is...nearly...over. I mean this had been such an enormous part of all of our lives...the analyzing, the theorizing, the fanfics, the fanart, just the everything that we have been builiding up until now will either be shut down or brought forth in this final book. Good Lord. I can't get over it. We have been obsessing over this amazing amazing book for so long...for most of my life in fact! And now in little more than a year or two it'll be out...and it will all be over. Over. Fin. No More. No more analyzing and podcasting. Over. And just the thought of not feverishly checking Mugglenet or Leaky every five seconds or Waiting on tenterhooks for the next podcast...it is just sad you know? It's nearly done. And I think I will go to my corner and cry. And maybe after all the depression I will go reread all six books. And dudes, If I am so spastic about a TITLE...I will seriously be in trouble when I am holding that book in my hands...and then finishing it. Wow. It's almost over. One glimmer of hope though...It's not over just yet.

Well, i must agree with you... it sounds dark... even though i like it... it does give me a funny sensation... it's a bit dark don't you think Jo?... but better say nothing!... i'm still so happy!... let's not let prejudice rule!... who knows!... it sounds like the best book ever to me!... anyway!... that seven letter thing in deathly is a bit spooky!... i'm sooo tired!... i've been screaming all day!... so!... theories??... any1 got theories??... so many people are dissapointed!... i've read over 10 ppl who say they don't like it! =c... well, don't stop being fanatics now!... not now!... not now that the seventh book is still beeing written!... i think... suppose... all of you will like the book even more than us who like it!=D... so typical!... anyway!... i'm realy eeger to here your theories... oh!... someone asked where i got that thing from the interview... i don't remember... but i can assure she said it... it was something likle "So jo, who would you have tea with??" I know that Scholastic posted the title on its site, but did Jo actually say anywhere that this is teh actual title. I am inclined to believe that it is, but has that been confirmed or is this another clue about the book?

Ok, Muggles. "Hallows" means to bless someone or something. But only that this blessing will cause death. Therefore the title "deathly hallows". "Hallows" is the plural form of a verb, not a noun. And "deathly" is the same like "deadly". It is an adverb, not the plural of a noun. I am sure this "blessing" is connected with the making of horcruxes. May be that the "blessing" (to hallow) is actually to perform the spell (on someone) which is needed to make a horcrux. Now I am convinced that Harrys scar is indeed a horcrux. Voldemorts spell on Harry that night in Godrics Hollow was connected with the horcrux spell which should cause Harrys death. So by accident Voldemort "blessed" Harry with a horcrux.

OMG!! Earlier I realized I hadn't been online in 2 days and I was like, 'I bet Jo released the title or something.' then I was like, no she won't release it yet. So I get online, and what do I find but 'title for seventh harry potter book' written across the news ticker on my hompage. This is what happens when I don't go online. I think I need to not go online for a couple days more often. Anyway, "Deathly Hollows"... I like it. Such a wonderful note to end the series on. :)

Haha yay. At first I thought this was a big joke but evidently not. :) Sweet.

For those who are speculating that this is a joke: it was confirmed by the publisher earlier today (this week?) as reported by the press. It's not a joke :D I don't know about other Potter-holics though, this is almost bittersweet. I've been on the bandwagon since CoS and the thought that it's all ending soon is really sad.

think of her word choice though. deadly means causing or likely to cause death, but deathly means to be LIKE death, but does NOT kill so i know that at least one or two people are gonna die in the seventh book but since the gallows are only deathly and not deadly then maybe, just maybe, or maybe im overthinking this whole thing. probably the latter. just throwing it out on the table.

I read this news hours ago and I still can't believe it. I feel like people that aren't Harry Potter fans don't know about it yet. Watch it be in all the newspapers tomorrow :)

Deathly Hollows must refer to Godrics Hollow. A the end of HBP, Harry alluded to having to return there. Important thing to remember about Deathly Hallows is that it NOT Deadly Hollows. Very important difference that does not necessarily imply the Hollows will spell doom for Harry since they can already be considered deathly from what happened to his parents there years ago.
