Title, release date and website revealed for J.K. Rowling's latest work

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has revealed the title, release date and launched a brand-new website for her latest project, The Casual Vacancy.

The site is completely redesigned with a timeline feature which allows users to explore the life of our favorite author. Additional details on her highly anticipated book for adults can be found there as well.

The Casual Vacancy will be released on Thursday, September 27th. Here is a brief synopsis from The Little, Brown Group's official website:

"When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war.

Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils...Pagford is not what it first seems.
