Confirmed: Australia will join USA and UK teams in Quidditch expo at the 2012 Olympics

This just in: Australian director of the International Quidditch Association, Morgyn Benstead confirmed that the Australian Quidditch Association will send a team to compete with the United States and United Kingdom teams for the special expo matches to be held in conjunction with the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England.

As we reported previously, the selected teams from the US, UK, and now Australia will show off their Quidditch skills on the pitch during a time that coincides with an Olympic Torch ceremony. The estimated date of this event is July 8th.

The IQA is also hoping to get a few other countries involved in the event and MuggleNet SnitchCenter will report of any further developing stories regarding this event.
