Interesting video.

Posted by mars Dec 29th 2006

cool video, gotta love George Stroumboulopoulos.

Posted by Matrinka Dec 29th 2006

I just wonder how much Alan Rickman knows about Snape right now. Didn't JK once say that she told him Snape's fate (and that he is the only one who knows)? I'm so curious!

Posted by Harry_Potter Dec 29th 2006

Sounds intresting...

Posted by iliveforharry Dec 29th 2006

love it, alan rickman's the best :]

Posted by Dragosani Dec 29th 2006

It's rather nice to see some Rickman related news for once.

Posted by iloveanime123 Dec 29th 2006

Alan Rickman ROCKS! I hope I see more of him in the next movie. They have been kind of lacking on the Snape scenes in the past two movies (in my opinion) but he has such an important role in the next two! (not that i'm a fan of the character, just the actor, Alan rickman!)

Posted by merry_muggle Dec 29th 2006

Cool, it's nice to see that they do other movies besides HP.

Posted by severin Dec 29th 2006

yes - I remember in an interview years ago that Rickman said he knows more than other people about his Snape character from JK. I wonder why she told him? I guess because he is an adult and she could trust him with the secret. I don't think she'd be telling Emma Watson, or even Daniel, the secret ending. Do you?

Posted by Silver_Shivers Dec 29th 2006

he is coooooooool!

Posted by jerod Dec 29th 2006

lol! paraphrasing what he said:"want to know about the 5th movie?read the book!!........actualy,rea ding the book won't tell you anything, since they cut so much stuff"

Posted by Bridster Dec 29th 2006

yyeeaaaah canada!

Posted by jess_1818 Dec 29th 2006

yesss finally!

Posted by Obee Dec 29th 2006

If Snape is the comic relief in this movie like he was in the last, I will have officialy lost total faith in the HP film franchise.

Posted by Prefiera_de_Gryfalco Dec 29th 2006

YAY for Alan Rickman! What is it about 50 and 60 year old British men? :-)

Posted by Nusayba Dec 29th 2006

Cool.

Posted by Prefiera_de_Gryfalco Dec 29th 2006

Btw: the show stops for commercials and you just have to skip the blank parts...the short bit with him talking Harry Potter is around minute 13 or so.

Posted by jenlovegood Dec 29th 2006

Hey thats really cool!

Posted by Micino Dec 29th 2006

That's cool. Alan Rickman is one of the actors that actually does protray the character up to par. Can't wait for OOTP

Posted by SiriuslyHP Dec 29th 2006

haha - snape smiles!!! It's really fun to see them outside of their costumes for the movies. And yes, I do believe I heard that JKR entrusted Snape's fate to Alan Rickman. So maybe if we watch the movies a bit closer we can find out something about him??? I don't know.... maybe ootp will give us an idea... I don't care I'm just really excited for the movie!!! Notice how he side-stepped answering any questions about the movie... they really do a good job of keeping information away from us!! lol. I'm glad though, because then it is even more fun when you're watching it for the first time.

Posted by Kareen Dec 29th 2006

Aww the movie looks good. I love Sigourney Weaver, but it's not playing in the U.S., of course. Meh.

Posted by blondeleo Dec 29th 2006

Yay Canada! I'm so proud. Stromboulopoulous is a great interviewer, you can tell he made the great Alan Rickman feel at ease. I can't wait to see that film, most good indie theatres should be showing it, right? I hope so.

Posted by AGUADALUPITA Dec 29th 2006

I do hope he made a mistake when he talked about the movie being cut down to 1 1/2 or 2 hrs. Please let it be at least 2 1/2 hrs. Please!

Posted by heartnut Dec 29th 2006

I do declare, that man is SO charming. I love hearing him talk about his career. That intro was rather tight, too. :) I may need a copy of that someday.

Posted by Smarty_Roxy Dec 29th 2006

I can't believe it!!! I was debating between watching the all canadian "The Hour" yesterday and watching a tyra show repeat!!! THE SHAME!!! Oh ya, Canada rox.

Posted by Avalon Dec 29th 2006

Thanks for the vidoe! Alan is one of my favourite (if not the favourite) actors of all times, not only in the Harry Potter movies. He's totally awesome!

Posted by LillyBlack Dec 29th 2006

OH MY GOD!!! This is like... Christmas all over for me again!!! Alan Rickman rarely does interviews, it seems like, so this is awesome!!! He IS my absolute favorite actor!!! And he seems like he's very outgoing and funny in real life... Anyways- Long live Alan Rickman... You rule!

Posted by hpnlost Dec 29th 2006

JK Rowling told Alan Rickman the fate of his character purely for the reason of him being able to play the part (Snape) correctly.

Posted by havah_prewett Dec 29th 2006

Anybody know what plugin it requires? I don't have it, and the site's not telling me which one it is.

Posted by princeofdarkness Dec 29th 2006

yayz! this interview is great so far, i luv this guy

Posted by deatheatertwo Dec 29th 2006

First of all, Alan rules as Snape, Alex, Hans, George, Alexander Dane or whatever role he plays. He is totally dedicated to the role he is portraying and does not like to talk about Potter because he does not like to play with the minds of the children and he is more than that. Second of all, in my honest opinion Snape should not be used as comic relief as he is a mean person, not entirely evil but just mean. Third of all, this interview is a bit late, he did it in the beginning of Dec . I am glad though that mugglenet put it up, Snape is an important character.

Posted by Matrinka Dec 29th 2006

Alan Rickman knowing Snape's fate is one of the reasons I still trust the character. Even though he treats Harry like garbage (in the films) you still see Rickman portraying Snape as being protective. Case in point, him leaping in front of Harry during Lupin's transformation.

Posted by snowy_headwig Dec 29th 2006

Biggest waste of 15 min., 24 sec. of my life

Posted by Pinkslips Dec 29th 2006

When I saw him with the words Snow Cake, I burst out laughing. Only because it was pretty funny seeing them put together. Snow Cake...ha. Wonder what that movie's about..

Posted by chompchomp Dec 29th 2006

Yay, Alan Rickman...

Posted by Ronaldweasley Dec 29th 2006

Alan Rickman is really good Actor! To bad i cant watch the video cause my speakers dont work...Well good luck to everyone else with there sound control..Lol...

Posted by skates Dec 29th 2006

Alan Rickman rocks!!! I must admit the movie name "Snow Cake" takes you off guard at first though. I have read in several places that he knows something about his character??? good interview !!

Posted by Junigatsu Dec 29th 2006

Snow Cake? Interesting title.

Posted by brea Dec 29th 2006

Hooray! I saw the interview on the hour last night. Rickman certainly is interesting. The play he is producing certainly sounds heavy but interesting. The actual interview was done November 30th, I wonder why they waited so long to air it. Go Strombo!

Posted by The_Oddball Dec 29th 2006

Ah cbc. When will doctor who come back on :(... Anyway nice interview.

Posted by _Butterbeer_ Dec 29th 2006

I Couldn't see mine very well :[ But it looks cool

Posted by Witchy_Woman Dec 29th 2006

I love him. He's awesome. Snowcake was a really good movie too. Thought Provoking and all that. He does a good "Mister Sarcastic" as someone named him in Snowcake.

Posted by Anastasia_Popovick Dec 29th 2006

Awesome interview! I just love Alan Rickman! I can not wait to see his latest works, including "Snowcake". He can portray any character with ease and incredible skill. He is a master at acting! So far I have enjoyed every movie I have seen of his, however, I still have quite a few to go.

Posted by DIEVOLDEMORT Dec 29th 2006

So JK told him about Snape's fate!!!! He is sooooo lucky!!!!! I would like it if she told daniel or the guy who plays voldemort wat happens to them and they accidentally let it out...
