This week's MuggleNet Fan Fiction feature not only includes an award nominated story, but a major site update!

First, this weeks featured story, Becoming Rita, was most recently nominated for a Quicksilver Quill Award for Best General story (read more about the awards, here)! It already has 20 very impressive reviews. The story, written by the accomplished hestiajones, chronicles the life of Rita Skeeter, and how she became the ruthless, albeit infamous, journalist she is today!

Please note: This story is rated 3rd - 5th year and is inappropriate for young readers. Read more about MNFF's rating system here.

"But who cared what this girl liked about the Charms Club? All the good ones – Quidditch, school events, Student Spotlight -- had been taken. She was already unpopular due to her secondhand clothes and books. Why was she being forced to write things no one wanted to read?"

Are you interested in the featured story, but not sure reading it is for you? Well, MuggleNet Fan Fiction is proud to announce that their very popular bi-weekly podcast, Audio Fiction, is back online!

The archive of over 150 episodes (and well over 300 stories!) was down for some time while the files were being moved to a new server. After many months, many, MANY hours, and diligence from the Fan Fiction volunteers, the archives are now back online! You can find a wide variety of stories, including award winners, alternate universe (Harry & Hermione anyone?), and even our featured story - all voted on by the Fan Fiction readers & authors! So head over to the Audio Fiction Archive, the Podcast Website, or even iTunes to discover the insanely popular podcast - for the first time, or all over again!

And, as always, you can read the featured story in full, as well as over 9,000 others, at MuggleNet Fan Fiction.
