Seven cool things about Ascendio, #2

Ascendio is H.P.E.F's upcoming eighth and final Harry Potter convention. Taking place at the luxurious Portofino Bay Resort at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL from July 12-15, 2012, Ascendio offers a unique way for fans to celebrate Harry Potter at the heart of the Wizarding World.

Online registration for the convention will close one week from yesterday, on June 25, 2012. That is why this week we are featuring one cool thing about Ascendio each day here on MuggleNet.

Today's featured post is about Team Starkid, creators of A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel, who will be on-site at Ascendio and who will be hosting several exciting events during the run of the convention. StarKids Nick and Matt Lang (writers), Joe Moses (Severus Snape), Nick Strauss (Sirius) and Devin Lytle (Cho Chang), along with Starkid's super-talented agent Pat Brady, will all be there. Here is what they'll be doing:

- Potion Master's Corner: LIVE, during which everybody's favorite Potions master hosts a special conference episode of the fan-favorite series. Who will he interview? What will he brew up next? Come see for yourself! (Friday, July 13th 3-4pm)
- The Lang Brothers' Tell-All Panel - A question and answer session with Matt & Nick Lang, co-writers of AVPM and AVPS and their other shows. (Saturday July 14, 11a-12p)
- From YouTube to Hollywood with Pat Brady - Watch and listen as Team Starkid's agent talks about how to transition from YouTube to Hollywood (from computer screen to big screen), just like Team Starkid. (Saturday, July 14 9-10am)

In addition to those events, there will also be a live commentary and video viewing of "A Very Potter Musical," where Team Starkid will present a viewing of the show and give their insight into the makings behind and the behind-the-scenes goings-on of the cast and crew during the production. Furthermore, there is a Meet and Greet, many Photo Ops and Autograph Appearances as well. Ascendio has even created a special ticket package, called "The Totally Awesome StarKid Deal" - which includes all StarKid events at Ascendio including the meet and greet and live commentary, which are exclusive, separate ticketed events.

Finally, Team StarKid and their agent are looking very forward to being in attendance at Night of a Thousand Wizards 2, which is Ascendio's exclusive night-time party in the park event. More details about that event will feature later this week.
