myHogwarts.co.uk is an upcoming social network for the Harry Potter fandom. The site will allow fans from around the world to connect with one another, both online and in real life, creating a place physically and virtually where you can discuss and debate the series, as well as be introduced to many things you may not have known before, such as the real-life sport of Quidditch, fan fiction, fan films, wizard rock, annual conferences, the Harry Potter Alliance, and many other elements of the fandom.
The site will have fandom-specific features, such as a fan-powered Library, wizarding radio station, the ability to find local fans in your town, and allow you to dive into hundreds of discussions about every aspect of the series. Finding friends on the site is easy, too. Once you join, you’re automatically placed into a “dorm room” with 9 other fans from your House.
The site has been widely anticipated by thousands of fans and has just given MuggleNet their official launch time. The myHogwarts team will be launching the website to the public during their “A Look into myHogwarts” presentation at Ascendio 2012, the Harry Potter conference in Orlando. myHogwarts is broadcasting the presentation via Livestream to the public on Friday the 13th, 2:00pm Eastern time, and will unlock the website at the conclusion of the event.
