'Harry Potter' movie marathon in Pennsylvania a complete success

This past weekend, The Colonial Theatre of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania held a two-day Harry Potter movie marathon, which sold almost 300 tickets for the event. Nearly the entire theater was filled with Potter fans dressed in costumes as they enjoyed all eight bolckbuster hits on the big screen.

Opened in 1903, The Colonial Theatre was built by Harry Brownback and featured several live stage performances including The Great Harry Houdini in 1917. Today, The Colonial Theatre is primarily a movie theater showcasing Indie films and re-releases of main stream movies. This was the theater's first ever Harry Potter movie marathon, but due to its success, will not be the last.

MuggleNet's Keith Hawk was in attendance on Saturday evening and held a few rounds of Potter-trivia while giving away MuggleNet t-shirts and stickers to a few of the lucky fans before the airing of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Special thanks to Kirsten and the rest of the staff for inviting us to attend the event.

Support your town's local theater and ask them to put on a Harry Potter movie marathon like The Colonial Theatre did.
