John Williams to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at 2012 Classic BRIT Awards

John Williams, the composer for the first three Harry Potter films, is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's Classic BRIT Awards.

From the report:

Dickon Stainer, co-chairman of the Classic Brit Awards committee, said:

"John Williams has crafted some of the most memorable film scores for over half a century and we are delighted that he has kindly accepted the Lifetime Achievement award in honour of his fine work."

The awards ceremony will be held on October 2nd, and broadcasted in the United Kingdom on ITV1.
