MISTI-Con promises to be an incredible and intimate Harry Potter convention that is taking place at the beautiful Margate Resort in Laconia, New Hampshire from May 9-13, 2013. The resort will be for convention attendees only, and no Muggles will be allowed for the entire weekend. MuggleNet staff members will be attending in force, and today, the convention organizers of MISTI-Con released our official programming information:

As part of our partnership, MuggleNet Academia host Keith Hawk (Twitter: @keithwhawk) will be bringing us two exciting interactive programs of his own design while the staff of Alohomora! will be hosting a LIVE podcast!

Harry Potter Family Feud!

Grab some friends and form a team and compete in this battle of survey results. Any team is welcome but we encourage players to make things a bit interesting. Weasleys versus House of Black? Squibs versus Animagi? Muggles versus Quidditch Players? No matter what happens, the audience wins =)

Harry Potter Jeopardy!

The ultimate battle of wits and trivia knowledge. Face off against other Rowlingphiles and movie geeks to find out who is the Ken Jennings of HP! Additional details about how to sign up for both the Family Feud and Jeopardy games will be made available as we get closer to MISTI-Con. HP Jeopardy players will be required to answer a series of paper quiz questions to qualify.

The LIVE ALOHOMORA PODCAST!

A product of rigorous and excited discussion between a few MuggleNet staff members, Alohomora! was crafted to fill the void left in the aftermath of the final Harry Potter movie release. Led by the rotating voices of the podcast, fans can now re-read the books alongside thousands online and share all their new insights on the show, as well as on the companion section. The project is entirely produced by fans, for fans.

Join the Alohomora team live as they record their podcast and take questions and participation from the MISTI-Con audience.

This will be a convention that you will not want to miss! Head on over to the MISTI-Con website and register today as the Early Bird registration period of only $110 ends on September 15th. You can also sign up to receive the MISTI-Con newsletter right here.

December 4, 2008 - J.K. Rowling's The Tales of Beedle the Bard is released in the United States and United Kingdom. To the dismay of some Potter fans, many bookstores did not hold midnight release parties like they did for other books in the Potter series.
