We've all heard about Harry Potter and his friends who, each year, take a ride on the Hogwarts Express train from King's Cross Station to the Wizarding village of Hogsmeade. The concept of wizards traveling by train, or broom, by Portkey, and even by Floo Powder is not foreign to us. Well, next July (from the 6th to the 13th), wizards will travel in a new and unprecedented way - by cruise ship!

Cruises Cruises Cruises, Inc., is hosting their first celebration of the Harry Potter series, called "Wizards at Sea", on board the majestic ms Westerdam cruise ship which will set sail from Seattle, Washington on a 7-night round-trip journey to (and from) several locations in Alaska and in Canada.

From the press release:

Headlining the on-board program... The Hillywood Show... whose magical parodies have gone viral around the world. The on-board program will feature: Welcome Aboard Ceremony; Classes in Magical Subjects; Round-Table Discussions; Film Festival; Noel Ball; Scavenger Hunt; Private Karaoke Party; Costume Event & Contest; Auction for Charity; Game-Show style Trivia Contests; and Vendors Room. "This will be a week of inter-active events that will engage fans and special guests in the smaller, more intimate setting of a cruise ship," says event producer Linda Wolf.

Holland America's whimsically beautiful Westerdam will sail round-trip from Seattle visiting Southeast Alaska: Juneau, Glacier Bay, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, B.C. Events will take place during the time at sea so passengers can enjoy the magical beauty and spell-binding adventures found in Alaska, The Great Land. A magical time will be had by all.

This trip will offer a profound opportunity to celebrate Harry while taking in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. For more information, visit the web-site at www.wizardsatsea.com.
