Yay, so there should be at least ONE good actor in the seventh movie! ;) Hopefully Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, and Alan Rickman return, as well.

Jason Isaacs is the best actor they could've ever chosen for Lucius Malfoy! I have no idea what to criticize, so I'm glad he wants in for movie 7.

I really hope that JKR writes Lucius Malfoy in book seven because I think he makes things interesting. And!!! I love Jason Isaacs and would love to see more of him in the films.

I don't see how he could not be in the 7th book. There is going to be an all out war. An epic good against evil. I think that all the main characters will show their faces. But who knows with an adaptation, if he will be in the 7th movie.

I hope he is in the 7th film - he's a good actor and portrays Lucius Malfoy with the exact attitude and posture as i had imagined him from the books. I agree with joshholly - it's probably going to be an all out war, and so Lucius will probably break out and become involved some how

Okay, I know I'm the only grammar fascist out here, but it should be " 'bated breath" rather than "baited breath." That's short for "abated," and not some kind of indication that his breath smells like fish-bait.

i really dont know. I like Isaacs, but the only way i could see him with a part is to have a mass breakout from Askaban, which I dont want!

It's great to hear the actors are as excited about the book and its characters as we are! Regardless of paycheck ;P No one could portary Lucius better! He's AWESOME! He really makes me want to HATE him! I think he will be in book 7, and that he will die, but I think Draco will live, he (Draco) couldn't kill Dumbledore... and he knows love, for his family - he has some good in him, I think JK will really make his character grow even more in this final book!

Didn't we already get a news report once before in which Isaacs said this? He just keeps repeating himself then? If I'm not incorrect, this really isn't informative. It's just redundant. Sorry. Otherwise, I really like knowing the characters like Harry Potter too.

He plays his part so well.... but I don't think begging will help much... She just needs to do the story how she has been planning to do it, he shouldn't expect her to change it just for him.

Well, I don't see any reasons why he -wouldn't be in DH. He's one of the most re-occuring villians in the series. It wouldn't be fair if he didn't get his share. And, hey! It would make the book longer, too!!

He's a really good Lucius. I honestly couldn't imagine many other actors doing any better.

Heh heh . . . I think JKR will have to include Lucius Malfoy somehow in Deathly Hollows (finally we don't have to call it "book seven" anymore!) as it's the last book and she has to wrap up all her loose ends.

Anyone think JKR will tell us the release date tomorrow (1/31/07) because its her half birthday and harry's as well?

HPDH2007: No. It's way too soon. I personally don't think the book will come out until summer 2008 no matter how much I want it to come now. It takes a long time to publish a book, after all.

wooh Jason Isaacs rocks my socks! he's a great Lucius! I'm pretty sure he has nothing to worry about, Lucius needs to have his story tied up he cant just stay stuck in Azkaban forever!
