The Award season is just beginning and Emma Watson already grabs one for her trophy case, as she wins Best Supporting Actress for her role in Perks of Being A Wallflower from the San Diego Film Critic's Society. Additionally, the film won the award for Best Ensemble Performance.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is based on the book by novelist Stephen Chbosky and is set in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the 1991-1992 school year. The story follows the school year of the main character Charlie, played by Logan Lerman, and explores topics such as introversion and the awkward times of adolescence. Emma portrayed the role of Charlie's new friend and Patrick's (Ezra Miller) step-sister, as the trio captures the complexities of growing up with uncommon grace, humor, and compassion.
If you haven't had a chance to see the film yet, it will be released as a Digital Download on January 22nd, and available on Blu-ray/DVD on February 13th. It is a wonderful movie and has gained the attention of the film critic's around the world. We look for Emma and the film to grab quite a few awards over the upcoming awards season.
