Although there certainly isn't any notable construction pieces, like Hogwarts or Hogsmeade at this point in time, we can now officially announce that construction has indeed begun at Universal Studios Hollywood for another Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.

According to an article posted on Behind the Thrills, the construction has begun behind the Gibson Amphitheater, which is currently where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is planned to be located.

Additionally, the article stated:

Now keep in mind that it could be at least a year before we start seeing any vertical construction the the new land. Universal Studios Hollywood does not have the blessing of flat-ground. For those of you whom are unfamiliar with the park it runs on multiple levels and requires numerous escalators in order to get from 1 place to the other. That can be quite and hassle and will be a major challenge when building the Hogsmead. But major power routing and all new plumbing systems need to be installed far in advance before they can even start demolishing the Gibson Amphitheater and possibly WaterWorld and Shrek as well.

While this is just conjecture, it appears that the latest Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios will not be ready for opening until Summer of 2015. Meanwhile the expansion at the original WWOHP at Universal Studios Orlando could be completed by Summer 2014 and the WWOHP at Universal Studios Japan could also be ready in 2014.

Half an inch of skin and sinew holding my neck on, Harry! Most people would think that's good and beheaded, but oh, no, it's not enough for Sir Properly Decapitated-Podmore.
