Stuart Craig begins work on HBP film
MSNBC has posted a brief interview with production designer Stuart Craig where he reveals some interesting info about the changing sets throughout the years.
He also says that work for Half-Blood Prince is already underway: "It has to be impressive and beautiful and poignant. So I'm looking forward to doing that." And he's eager to start reading Deathly Hallows:
"I can't wait. We need to know which sets to retain for the last film." Not that he'll get an early peek. "I never have before. I just have to go to the bookshop" -like every other fan.

You must wait 3 minutes between comments per news story. That was the longest three minutes of my life. GOSH, I know it's an oxymoron. Minutes can only be 60 seconds. Whatever. Um...yeah. I thought I was first, too. I love how we all thought we were first..and it was like a BLANK comment page..but psht..no. We all fail. Except for Boo_On_You.
I find it funny how five people thought they were first. Blahhh. Yeah. I admit it might be hard to watch HBP. But then again maybe not. I think it'll be harder to watch OotP 'cause of Harry's reaction and such. I only cried during Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoneix. Not one tear in HBP. Oh God, I better not cry in the movie theatre, that would kinda suck.

Good to hear Craig is back. I am very curious about ootp because somebody else wrote the script so I wonder whether or not it shows. I hope the astronomy tower will look like it did on the cover of the Dutch HBP. I also hope all the pensieve scenes will be in and the Horcrux part exactly like in the book.
Wow, they are already designing the set for HBP. I think (hope) they will do a good job; HBP is my favorite. When do they start filming again? And is Steve Kloves coming back for HBP?
i cant wait! that is so exciting! i guess they want to try and start it as soon as possible so the actors dont get to old....

It has this moment pictured, and I hope (wishful thinking) that Mr. Craig takes some inspiration from this artist. It's breath-takingly beautiful. i'm glad nobody is getting a sneak peek. but we all have to admit, the luckiest people in the world right now are editors, publishers and whatnot of the seventh book. i don't know if they would actually have time to sit down and read the entire thing or if that would be allowed, but the book is there - right in front of them.

i hope these changes are for the better they seem good but i hope it doesn't end up like the third movie when alfonse curon added a ton of new scenes and i still can't forget that he wanted to add a graveyard at a school!!! isn't hogwarts supposed to be cheerful?

wow great news!!! HBP is going to be one awesome movie. i agree with yues_woman - they better keep the lupin/tonks relationship in there... i absolutely loved it :) and all of the emotions at the end.... it's just going to be a great movie. speaking of emotions at the end, i hope that they include the great ending of ootp when harry destroys dd's office. i really think that they need to include that: it was what really made me cry the hardest as i was reading the book. harry finally bursts out after all the hard times he has gone through. i think that it is brilliantly written and it would be a shame not to include it in the movie.
To some extent, being like 'every other fan' gives each of us a feeling of unity.

i can't wait to see the movie of HBP!!! but i have to wait for OOTP first.. you english people (and others who have holidays when it comes out) are so lucky!! a harry potter holiday..maybe i'll be allowed a day off school to mourn the ending of my favourite series...though i don't think they'd accept that excuse.. at the beginning of the interview: "Feb. 19, 2007 issue - Even obsessive "Harry Potter" fans don't seem to have noticed that Hogwarts has had a makeover from the first two films." i actually think that most of us have noticed the changes...
