After the success of last year's conference, which welcomed participants from over ten universities and four states, the students of Potter Watch, the Official Harry Potter Club of UNCC, are pleased to be hosting the second Potter Watch Conference.
On April 6 2013, fans from across the US are invited to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to participate in discussions surrounding the Harry Potter series as well as enjoy speeches from notable Potter academics. The schedule is still being pulled together but previous speakers include the well known Harry Potter scholar, Dr. Amy H Sturgis.
Potter Watch are also currently in the process of collecting papers for the conference. The main focus for this year's event is looking into the shape of the fandom since the release of the final film installment in 2011 but they are keen to cover a range of topics, from fan responses to 'Warner Brothers and the franchise' so get your thinking caps on Potterheads!
