The 39th Annual People's Choice Awards were held this evening at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. As Harry Potter fans, we have had a keen eye on four awards this evening:

  • Favorite Movie Icon: Emma Thompson
  • Favorite Dramatic Movie: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
  • Favorite Dramatic Movie Actree: Emma Watson
  • Favorite Movie Fan Following: Potterheads

The first honor of the evening went to Emma Watson in the category of Best Dramatic Movie Actress who defeated some great film stars like Charlize Theorn, Kiera Knightly, Meryl Streep, and Rachel McAdams.

Potterheads lost in the category of Favorite Movie Fan Following to Twihards, which is a bitter disappointment as the Harry Potter fans are stronger and more united than ever. Although the final book was released over 5 1/2 years ago, and the final movie was released almost 2 years ago, we will remain the Best Movie Fan Following no matter what.

Favorite Movie Icon went to actress Meryl Streep and not Emma Thompson, who portrayed Sibyll Trelawney in the Harry Potter film series.

And finally, Favorite Dramatic Movie has gone to Perks of Being a Wallflower, a very well-deserved award for a great film.

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS Emma Watson and the cast and crew of Perks of Being a Wallflower!

Never used an Unforgivable Curse before, have you, boy? You need to mean them, Potter! You need to really want to cause pain — to enjoy it — righteous anger won't hurt me for long — I'll show you how it is done, shall I? I'll give you a lesson —
