VIDEO: Fan's reaction to letter received from author J.K. Rowling

This Christmas a Harry Potter fan got what all of us dream of—a personal letter from J.K. Rowling! It looks like fan Katie’s wishes came true when she opened an envelope from the author herself. You can watch her emotional reaction in the video above, originally posted on YouTube by user the1harrypotterfan.

In the video, Katie reads aloud the letter she received, which expresses Rowling’s appreciation for the support she receives from her fans. Understandably, part of the letter looks like a generic response from the author (since she receives so many fan letters), but it was personalized with Katie’s name and a special message at the bottom:

Keep fighting the Dementors. Your letter was inspirational. With love and admiration, J.K. Rowling.
