The London Critics' Circle held their 33rd Annual Film Awards this evening at the prestigious Mayfair Hotel and MuggleNet were on hand to talk to the Potter alumni in attendance; Toby Jones, Mike Newell and the infamous, Helena Bonham Carter.

The evening's showstealer was undoubtedly Helena (Bellatrix Lestrange) who attended the event with her husband, film director Tim Burton, to receive the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film after more then two decades in the industry. Having been previously awarded to the likes of Dame Judi Dench and Quentin Tarantino, Helena was humbled by the honour, commenting that its 'nice when critics say something nice about you for a change'. Despite being pushed for time, we managed to quiz her on the rumoured filming for the Wizarding World theme park and whilst there was no confirmation either way she ambiguously quipped, 'I am not allowed to say, we've been gagged. Take from that what you will!'

Another win for the Potter clan went to Toby Jones, the voice of Dobby, who was awarded British Actor of the Year for his acclaimed performance in Berbarian Sound Studio. When asked about his involvement in the Potter franchise he said he was 'proud' to have been a part of it, a feeling reiterated by Mike Newell, Goblet of Fire director, who also commented that it was 'enormous fun'.

Our congratulations go out to all the winners, for a full list of whom see here.
