Malfoy goes into medicine - Jason Isaacs lands new role

Jason Isaacs, who portrayed Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has shed his Death Eater robes for his new role on CBS’s The Surgeon General. Entertainment Weekly reports that Isaacs will play the title role as “the most powerful doctor in the world“ in this new medical drama created by Samuel Baum, of Lie to Me.

The Surgeon General will focus on Isaacs’ character as he “fights politicians and big businesses to protect the health of everyday Americans.”

There have been many medical dramas on television lately, with the outcomes varying between each show. What do you think of this show’s potential? Are you excited to see Jason Isaacs in this role?
