Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story has been nominated for several awards at 2013 Canadian Screen Awards

The made for television movie Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story was an inspiring look at JK Rowling's rise to becoming one of the most influential writers - from her humble beginnings as an imaginative young girl and awkward teenager to the loss of her mother and the genesis of the Harry Potter phenomenon.

The television film first aired in July of 2011 at the same time as the final film of the Harry Potter series was being launched in theaters. Even though this was nearly two years ago, it is being recognized by the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards, which recognizes excellence in film, television, and digital media productions.

Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story has been nominated in the following categories:

• Best Direction in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series
• Best Dramatic Mini-Series or TV Movie
• Best Original Music Score for a Program
• Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series - Poppy Montgomery who portrayed J.K. Rowling
