Harry Melling (Dudley Dursley) to star on stage in 'Smack Family Robinson'

The Rose Theatre Kingston has announced the cast for Richard Bean's Smack Family Robinson, which will have a limited run from March 28th through April 20th. The play will be directed by Richard Wilson and features Keith Allen and Denise Welch as reprobate parents and Kate Lamb, Matthew Wilson and Harry Melling - who portrayed Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter film franchise - as their troubled children.

The Robinsons have run a successful family business since the 1960s. They have a comfortable house and expensive cars in the drive. But things have changed; new products, more competition and a bigger market. At the end of the day though, it’s still all about cash and stock. For this is no ordinary family business – the Robinsons are drug dealers. As eldest son Sean takes over the reins, disturbing things are happening in the previously tranquil streets of Kingston and Richmond. The younger generation aren’t like their dad. And the police are getting interested!
