cool!! coulda been better though 1?
im not reading the review though... dont wanta see the spoilers =/ 2?
Sweet can't wait to see it and hear MORE!!!!
Super!!!
awesome. i dont care what anyone says the movie is going to be the best hp movie by far. yayayayayayayayayayay!!!! !!!!!
I'm really looking forward to the movie!!
" We have yet another Voldemort confrontation at the end where he is not completely defeated. This is getting tiring, I really hope this stops now, I am sick of the main villain showing up at the end and then not being completely defeated only say the same thing can happen again at the end of the next film." couldnt help but laugh at that! :P sounds really good, but i wouldnt rely too much on what he says, the guy doesnt sound like the greatest critic lol x
b+? I guess it has to be somewhat good then, But is two and a half hours enough time?
I wish there were more spoilers lol
I started reading the review. However i stopped after only reading the intro. I think I'd rather read a review from someone who's read the books. This review comes from someone who doesn't really like the books and has only read one. I think a review from someone who knows the story would be more well suited. That would give a better explanation of how the movie matches up with the amazing story written by Jo Rowling.
he thinks jo's writings are mediocre . BLASPHEMY ! and he is trying to review the film . donot beleive in what he says guys this will be one hell of a film.
From the reviewer: "I think the subject and mediocre writing of Rowling stops it from ever being an all around amazing series"--yet he says he only read the second book and passed on the rest! Sounds like he's only slightly more informed of the series than Laura Mallory...
Yay! More of HP 5. The review could have been better.
cant wait for this movie!!!!!! its gonna be the best!!!!!!!!! i want to see luna and ron and hermione!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, but can you give us some more...!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Okay, here's a guy who has not read the books properly, who finds Jo's subject poor and her writing mediocre, and has trouble calling Hagrid's brother Grawp, who fails to understand the necessaity of the Voldemort-coming-at-the-e nd-of-almost-every-book/m ovie concept, and expects people to rely on his critique? Pshaw!
Go Evanna! She's getting great reviews...best child actor! I can't wait to see her on film.
I really hate reading reviews from people who haven't read the books. They just don't understand the importance of all the details. Can't wait for the film though, I think it's going to be incredible!
The person who wrote the review seemed a bit wishy washy. I am a lil disappointed about the Voldy/Dumbledore scene being kinda short but that was my favorite part of the book
This review made me angry. This guy obviously insults Jo throughout with her mediocre writing ability. Idiot. The review isnt to enlightening and fails to really give much away about the film! He does seem to enjoy it but reading other reviews on Leaky I think he doesnt quite understand the characters too well especially Umbridge-he dreaded her coming on screen-WHAT?! one thing i will say im delighted about-the duel at the end and luna both sound perfect. Ok thats two. Alright-a third...The running time. Yes its a tad disapointing and this guy calls for more editing but i disagree. As long as its same as Goblet thats fine because yes not as much happens in Ootp as Goblet-but no shorter. This guy also couldnt rference any major cuts from the book so on a whole im a bit disapointed as i was quite excited to read it! All in all...why do these people have all the luck and get chosen for these things!! Not fair!! Im off to lie down...
I hope this is going to be the best one so far. Doubt it, but we can always hope...
Yeah, this guy really has no clue what he is talking about. He perhaps should read the books first and then he would know why Voldemort can't be defeated until the end. Anyone who thinks that the HP books are poorly written really just has no clue what they are talking about in my opinion. Whatever, this movie is going to be totally awesome because it is HP and that is all that it needs to be cool.
the reviewer doesn't even know how to write well. You can tell from how the idiot started off.. "I should preface by saying.." Pathetic.
Wait, wait. Did I read right? Did he wrote that CoS was the weakest? Totally unacceptable! And the review is annoying .. =/
mediocre writinig?*gasps the whole air* not true... Well anyways, to bad about Umbridge, but she's even annoying in the books! LOL, The guy who wrote this review will hate the fact that in the next film... Voldemort will still live. LOL. Too bad about Grawp... I hope they make him better! Anyways I'm still really excited to watch the film in the big screen!
I was one of the people who saw it!!! (I know lucky me!!) That guy is an idiot. . . first of all, umbridge was perfect in my honest opinion. She was EXACTLY how I expected her to be. The only reason why Grawp seen was that way because it was unifinished!! it looked fake cause he was just a computerized cartoon character!!! And hello, this is HP. . .voldemort can't die till at least the 7th book . . .IDIOT If anyone wants to know about it (cause I don't want to ruin it for everyone) you can just e-mail me . . .
A wonderful and mildly spoiler review on the-leaky-cauldron. org. A guy named Carlos was able to answer questions through the comments with is ahead without spoilering too much (as in, he didn't describe or said lines exactly from the movie). Hope this helps cause he made it more fun to read!
I am very unhappy with that review. Then again, I wouldn't expect someone that doesn't appreciate Jo to understand or care for the movies. To me they can't be long or detailed enough. I will see it (several times) when it comes out and buy it when it comes out on DVD... Critic reviews just don't matter to me.
I did not like this guy's review at all. I agree with some of the other people who have said that they would rather read a review by someone who has actually read the books and appreciates them. This guy, was at some parts, a complete jerk about the Harry Potter books, bashing JK Rowling and her "mediocre" style, yet he only really read one book. And what is he thinking saying that the movie should be cut even shorter from the 2 and a half hour length? The book is 870 pages long!! I'm not going to listen to a word of his review, I'm sure it'll be awesome, and I'll wait for a review from someone who actually knows what they're talking about.
I need more details! I guess I'm gonna have to wait to see a review from some one who actually knows what they're talking about.
Just remember that the reviewer is not a big fan of the series. How can you write a positive review if you don't totally understand the plot. I personally can't wait and wish that I would be asked to preview the movie and write a review.
Okay, the Voldemort thing CANNOT change and he shouldn't expect it to. Obviously the end of Voldemort means the end of the series and I'm sure he is aware that there are two more movies and one more book to still come out. And GoF was not the best in my opinion, personally I think they are all very good in their own accord and should not be compared because they all have different directors (with the exception of Columbus' films) meaning they each had a different vision unique from the others. If I had to chose I think I would say PoA is my personal favorite. Furthermore, a review from someone who did not read the books should be totally disregarded, that's like reading a product review by someone who didn't read the instruction manual. As for OOTP, if was my favorite book so, here's to hoping...
The guy obviously doesn't have a good grasp on the overall plot or the characters. This is of course because he hasn't read all the books, but neither will 100 percent of people who go to watch the movie so some of his points might be valid. You can't go around calling people idiots just because they don't think JKR is the greatest writer ever. Also, it's great to hear that Evana Lynch is a great actor. She came out of nowhere straight into the 5th film and seems to have eclipsed the other child actors. Props to her.
Movie reviews? awesome! my friend is strongly advising against me reading them, so I'll do it when I get home
"I am not an avid fan of the series, and I think the subject and mediocre writing of Rowling stops it from ever being an all around amazing series.....".....ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
XD ....This coming from the man who says he doesn't like how JKR writes? That entire review honestly cracked me up.
"Hagrid’s brother played so poorly was because the effects at this point were understandably bad, to the point where there was almost no texturing or layering and no shadowing at all. I still think the film would benefit from doing away with him altogether." Even though I declined the offer to watch a screening of the film (unfinished) at the studio, as I wanted to see it when it comes out at the cinema; I know for most of you that’s ‘shock horror’ (P.S - If you hear some mad man whooping in the cinema screaming "I did that!" that would be me ;P ) I was involved with the filming of Grawp & it's not that bad of a scene. When you watch a film with the without the CGI effects or finally rendered it is not half as good watching the final result, which might be the reason it might of put some people off (which is why I want to see it in the cinema instead.) Remember he's not a Harry Potter fan & did not see the final version of the film & still gave it a B+; so there's still some hope yet! P.S The Half blood Prince will be shooting in the autumn, as of this moment a certain person called Batman has taken residence of Leavesden Studios. ;)
EDIT: A wonderful and mildly spoiler *induced* review *is* on the-leaky-cauldron.org. A guy named Carlos was able to answer questions through the comments *section* with *what* is ahead without spoilering too much (as in, he didn't describe *things* or said lines exactly from the movie). Hope this helps cause he made it more fun to read! Plus! He's read the books! Oh! and that guy didn't understand too much that Grawp isn't fully finished that's why it's just an advanced screening.
they had better include evry last detail
hey zeenarah, i would really like to know more about the movie...is zeenarah@mugglenet.com your email? also...is the movie only rated PG?
OMG hermes!!! Christian Bale?!? CHRISTIAN BALE?! Aaaargh!!!! lol! so cool dude... i wonder who'll he'll be playing... not slughorn of course... mundungus? TOM RIDDLE? gunt? TOM RIDDLE SR. (who merope love potioned)? oh gosh, oh gosh! again, good review on the-leaky-cauldron.org.
Wait...They said that the film was only PG??????????????????????? ??? >:p Why????????? I wanted a review from someone who could match it up with the book! How close was it, anyway???????????? And he would probably have a different perspective if he actually read the book! CoS was probably the closest book/movie pair. Geez, I want more! What about Fred and Georges flight from Hogwarts????????
I forgot to note that too-PG? Disapointing. No way should it stay this way-i hope it goes up to pg-13. This film naturally should be scarier. But it will deprieve the critics of saying oooohhh its the darkest yet! I hate that! Of course i do too respect that this reviewer is no fan but still give it a b+ in such early stages of post-production which is brilliant! I wish hed read the books and realise that voldermort wont die at the end of phoenix...he hasnt quite grasped the plot has he!
If this guy had actually BOTHERED to read all the books, he would already know that, no, there's not a lot of action in this one - it's more character based. Plus, he'd know why the running time is quite long. Its a bloody long book!!! And as for the Voldemort confrontations at the end of each one - well, DUH!! Don't watch the next two films then, would be my advice to him!!
Did this guy ever say if he even read the books? Some of the comments he made lead me to believe he didn't...other wise he would know that the bad guy CAN"T be defeated until the end of the series, and he would know that Harry is kinda gawky and awkward, not owning up to his power until the 5th installment anyway. Honestly what does he expect from a kid that basically had no formal acting before being Harry Potter. I wish more people who actually have a clue would pop up to review the movie, he made it soud like the movie sucks...NO WAY THAT"S HAPPENING!
mediocre writing...pshhhht.... wow i'm super excited!!
AAAAHHHH!! I can't wait!!! I want to see this movie to freakin' bad!!! And I can't wait to read the book either! I'm going to be so sad though..when it's over. What a great adventure! LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!
A B+ rating from someone who clearly neither understands the movie, nor read any of the material involved, indicates to me that this is going to be one great movie! =)
Hi hermes! How are you?? I heard that filming of HBP will be in September...is this true?? i ca'nt wait!! Do you'll take part to filming again??? I hope so *__*!!!!!! Also..do you know when will be released another trailer??? I think on 9th March (when 300 will be released)... See ja ^_-
This guy should not be critisizing a movie, in which he hasn't even read the book(s). What was his name "Mallory". Also the profanity, I swear myself, but not around HP, and/or JKRowling. Why don't you read "LOR", and then critique that, and say you shouldn't use Gollum, or maybe Legolas had hair too long for his character,, As with all the spoilers; well I'm glad they put those in, it kinda makes it that much more HP'ish, You need Umbridges character and YES you need Grawp, This guy probably didn't even know Hagrids little brothers' name. An unfortunate part (in the movie) is that we may not learn how Hagrid finds Grawp.. Next time "WB" ask a few HP fans to view, and then Review the next movie,You may actually get some real opinions, (ask me now I'm available),,,,
