The seventh annual Quidditch World Cup will take place from April 5th-6th at the brand new North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex in South Carolina. This venue has eight full size soccer fields each with an electric scoreboard, PA system, and benches for both players and spectators. Additionally, free onsite restrooms.
"'One of our main event goals is to produce a world-class competition where the needs of all athletes are highly prioritized,' said Sarah Woolsey, World Cup Tournament Director. 'We are reducing costs for teams as much as we can while continuing to increase the quality of service we're providing. We are working with all aspects of the World Cup to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for teams.'"
With the IQA'a new Stay & Play policy, teams that room in one of the participating hotels will recieve free parking, lower registration cost, and an unrestricted ability to bring food and drink into the sports complex. The hotels are located directly on the beach, within 15 minutes of the complex, and only 25 minutes from the airport. Suites with full kitchens are available for under $100 per person for two nights.
