The Telegraph has published their list of the 50 greatest villains in literature and Lord Voldemort ranked #5! He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named lost to some pretty tough competition, falling short of only Iago from William Shakespeare's Othello, Cruella de Vil from Dodie Smith's The Hundred and One Dalmations, Samuel Whiskers from Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Samuel Whiskers, and Satan from John Milton's Paradise Lost (who won the #1 spot).
So Potter fans, do you agree with the Dark Lord's spot on the list? Is there anyone who should have been ranked higher or do you think that a dark wizard willing to trade his soul for immortality and murder infants belongs at #1? Let us know in the comments below!
