On October 3rd, a new app to celebrate National Poetry Day was launched called The Love Book. The app will donate ten percent of proceeds to Save the Children and features celebrities reading poems and love letters for the app user, including work from authors such as Shakespeare, Jane Austen, and JK Rowling. As reported earlier, Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix LeStrange) has already signed on to design shoes for the charity and adds this new role to her resume.
Her on-screen sister, Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy), also joins the charitable app and expresses the importance of the charity. “It’s important to support Save the Children and their work in this country and all over the world. They’re helping children through education, vaccination and through the help they’re sending out to Syria; all this groundwork is vital to protect the rights of children.” You can purchase The Love Book through the App Store.
