noliesjustlove: Harry wants Snape dead because he killed Dumbledore. Dumbledore was very important to Harry. I would be threated if someone killed someone I cared about in front of my eyes. I think Harry thinks that Snape is on The Dark Lords side and that he might be able to kill Hermione, Ron, Ginny, etc. Harry thinks he's a threat. -- Voldemort kills people that betrays him. That or torture them till they go mad. Snape has been a double spy. I don't know about you but even in the Muggle world that is highly frowned upon. Anyway, I think that he'll just get angry and will kill him. Snape is a threat to The Dark Lord because Snape could be on any side at any giving time. Maybe save Harry's life again? Who Knows. -- Though I guess this whole Snape good or gad thing could be solved wth some Veritaserum.

The US cover: Harry doesn't have a scar, or maybe it's fading as Voldemort gets weaker (Harry destroys a Horcrux; Voldie loses power) and at the end, Harry proudly proclaims "When I killed Voldemort, I lost my scar!"

i aplologize for the porbable repatition, but i cant read 750 messages. ok so 1) theres seems to be a house elf on harry's back in the UK version. 2) there are death eaters in the US version, and a very strange necklace that doesn't even look like a locket. 3) The UK version seems joyful with the colors and the gems and all, except they're faces. I wonder where it is... and where are their wands? This is so sad. It's almost over

i do NOT think harry is a horocrux i just did some research and in the books it says neither can live while they other one survives soooooo as so......... if harry kills voldy then that means part of voldy is in harry so harry would there for have to kill himself and that is not possible since it says in the book neither can live while the other one survives.......

And also, that bit of the prophecy could also foreshadow the fact (not that I'm saying it IS a fact, this is just for the sake of the discussion) that a piece of Voldemort's soul resides in Harry. So Voldemort couldn't exactly live in his own body AND in Harry's, could he? Eurgh, but to completely contradict myself, he did (Dumbledore believes) instill a fragment of soul in Nagini... bleh, stupid loopholes.

Harry is wearing the locket on the US cover. Dumbledore wears the ring after that Horcrux gets erased. Why else would Harry wear the locket?

siriusblackhead - I also noticed that and posted about it earlier, but yeah i think there is a connection between the UK and US covers due to the orange colors. i remember when the book 6 covers came out and i looked for parallels between the two there, such as Dumbledores ring and stuff.

ok, i definitely think the brown thing around Harry's neck in the US kids edition is the fake locket. Harry did say that he was gonna carry it around as a reminder of what there was still left to do and what it cost everyone. Plus, it has no ornate S on it like the real locket does. Overall, I love the US cover [even though I expected red/black instead of orange], but I wish we would have gotten info on the story like we did in the UK children's cover. The UK kids cover looks a little bit showy and flashy and not in the same style as that previous covers. And the Adult cover is amazing as usual. Love the lighting. But I'm gonna get the three versions anyways, so it doesn't really matter to me. Just looking forward to the book!
