Scholastic's Knight Bus schedule announced
Back in March, Scholastic announced their promotional plans for Deathly Hallows which included a Knight Bus tour. Scholastic has now released the dates and locations for their 37-stop tour along the East Coast of the United States. From the press release:
In each location where the bus stops, fans will be invited to board the Knight Bus and share on video their thoughts and feelings about the Harry Potter books. Select video clips from each location will be uploaded for viewing and sharing on http://www.scholastic.com/harrypotter. Additionally, each person will receive a unique username and password so that they can view their own video online.
You can find the tour dates right here on Scholastic's website.

Posted by lostislandpirate Apr 11th 2007

I can't believe I got excited for this, of course it wasn't coming to Dallas, nothing ever does. I guess I'll just have to sit around and wait for Portus. Texas has Harry Potter fans too!

Posted by queeny Apr 11th 2007

mmm is bloomsbury gona do anything? i havnt heard if anything is going to happen in scotland! :( lol

Posted by GeorgeusGirl Apr 11th 2007

Uh.. they come to Ohio but not Michigan? COME ONE PEOPLE! MICHIGAN NEVER GETS ANYTHINGGG!

Posted by J_Dizzle Apr 11th 2007

totally agree with GeorgeusGirl Michigan is important too, not only do the Mugglenet people not come here but now the Knight bus isnt coming here either. I would go to the chicago one or the ohio one except my parents probably won't let me. IF they do though im totally shoving as many hp fans in my car as possible. GeorgeusGirl too bad I dont know you otherwise I could take you too...well actually I would take you anyways, but I highly doubt I can go.

Posted by moonwalkinwand Apr 11th 2007

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! I'm sooooo excited! WOooooooooh, this is going to be a year to remember, let's make the harry potter empire proud everyone, time to promote! Woooooo!

Posted by valsul Apr 11th 2007

Posted by grewupweasley Apr 11th 2007

Great idea J_Dizzle, CARPOOL!! That would be great.. meet other HP fans in your area and share the cost!!

Posted by GeorgeusGirl Apr 11th 2007

J_Dizzle 31, I would totally lay on the bottom of a pile of fans in your car on the way to Chicago or Ohio. haha but really.. someone needs to come to Michigan before this is all over!

Posted by AGUADALUPITA Apr 11th 2007

Carpooling IS a great Idea! Anyone from Indiana wanna bump a ride with me?

Posted by candiiheart Apr 11th 2007

OMG i cant wait.. im going to go to all the stops that they are making in NY woot wootttttt

Posted by jabbl Apr 11th 2007

The west coast really got overlooked. We don't ALL live near LA or SF...no Las Vegas, even?? *sigh* I guess I shouldn't complain, really - at least they're doing this, and it's cool that they are. I really envy those of you who live close to these stops, though...

Posted by Prongsie14 Apr 11th 2007

Whoa, that sounds awesome! And they're right by Indiana, that's pretty close to where I live! Yay! ^^ Can't wait!

Posted by xhpluva4evax Apr 11th 2007

Holy moly. I live basically right in between San Diego and LA, so I'm able to go to BOTH! That's like, four different conventions. WHEE. This summer will be SO much fun!!

I love how they are purposely avoiding the Bible Belt of the country on their tour. Honestly, Scholastic, it would be very beneficial to have TWO buses--one that hits one half of our huge nation, the other that hits the other side. There are lots of Harry Potter fans below the Mason-Dixon Line that will not be able to commute to see the Knight Bus, as well as fans in the Breadbasket that seem to be skipped over. Am I the only one that is seriously disappointed to see places like Nashville, Lexington, ATLANTA, Columbia, Savannah, Tampa, Mobile, NEW ORLEANS, Dallas-Fort Worth, TULSA, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Boise, SEATTLE, and other large cities apparently skipped over so that there are multiple stops in places like Philly, NYC, and the Big Three in Cali? I know that this sounds a bit bitter, and maybe it is, but I live in Knoxville, and would commute to Nashville to see the Knight Bus before Book 7 came out. Tennessee Volunteered and gave it all for the Alamo, but apparently, we aren't worth it to bring a purple Harry Potter bus our way to celebrate the biggest children's book legacy since the Chronicles of Narnia. Thanks for the vote of confidence Scholastic. end of rant.

Posted by Quantummilkshake Apr 11th 2007

Ugh! They discriminate against both the south and the west... What about everyone from outside of the northeast and California? COME TO GEORGIA DANG IT!!!

Posted by NorfolkWright Apr 11th 2007

Great! But im too far to go, pity.

Posted by luv_hp_4ever Apr 11th 2007

YES jabbl 33 minutes ago... I KNOW!!!!! i live in northern CA, and nothing ever comes here. we aren't exactly close to LA or Las Vegas.... like 10 hrs driving.... or more i've never actually driven there cuz it is too far away. california is really big!!!!!! FRUSTRATING!!!!!! i really want to go to!!!! grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by luv_hp_4ever Apr 11th 2007

wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there are some in SAN FRANCISCO, OAKLAND, AND SAN JOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ARE U KIDDING ME?????????? maybe i can actually go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH only a smallish drive to those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * DANCES WITH JOY*

Posted by grewupweasley Apr 11th 2007

As I said earlier it is a bit of a drive for me-like 5 hours to St Louis, I think, which is going to be real fun with two kids. Thanks God for portable DVD players. They can watch HP movies all the way there. I keep hoping that MC staff would do SOMETHING in Kansas as Ben Schoen lives here, but alas no. I would even take Missouri. If I'd drive that far for the Knight Bus I for sure would for MC!!!

Posted by hmrpotter Apr 11th 2007

heartnut, I feel the same way!! I live in Atlanta and am ticked off that they are not coming anywhere in the Southern States. I've already sent Scholastic an email on that subject, maybe if they get enough emails about how they blatantly ignored the south, they will consider adding a stop or two.

Posted by Phoenician Apr 11th 2007

YES! July 3 - Phoenix Public Library, Chavez Branch (I think they just built that one) -- Oh I am SO going!!

Posted by luv_hp_4ever Apr 11th 2007

NO WAY!!!!!!! ok so i live in northern CA, but I think i will be in the south(annual trip to visit family) during the time that it is in northern CA!!!!! ARE YOU FRAKIN" KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nope, i am flying back home on the 11th(so i'll be there for the 13th) so i'll miss that one too and it is the last one. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! PLEASE say that we moved our flight plans forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Kievan Apr 11th 2007

Haha. Score! They're coming out to LA which is about 45 minutes from me. Bwahaha.
