I'm writing in and auditioning for Romilda Vane!! (my name on hear, Regulus_Black, may say differently - but I'm female). Wish me luck :) They're getting another Tom Riddle? Oooh, the one cast for CoS must be peeved...or maybe he's too old now...I can't remember his age back then. Yeah, he looks creepy...

Wow I'm British and I'd LOVE to audition for a part. The only ones I can think of are Romilda Vane, Lavender Brown and maybe Merope Riddle... depends how old she is in the book. Anyone know?

Okay, so I finally found the guy's pic, and he looks like he'd make a good "older-young" Riddle. But as someone else pointed out, he's Icelandic, so it's possible he could be playing Fenrir, although I always imagined Fenrir wtih a cockney accent :-P

It amuses me when people ask for Christian Coulson back from CoS in the Tom Riddle role. Although he was excellent and I liked him, it is unlikely he is acceptable to WB now as he is seven years older and no longer a teenager. In fact I thinbk he was over 20 when he played Tom, so will be nearly 30 now. I have seen him recently and although he is still good lookking, there is no way he could play a schoolbiy now - he looks like a grown man! So I think he is off the menu - sadly.

The rule about all British actors is really a rule about all European actors. That is what JKR actually said IIRC. Brendan Gleeson was Irish, Clemence Poesy was French and Stanislav (Krum) was Bulgarian though living in London.. I think JKR said British except for those characters in the books who were not themselves fron the UK.

I hope he's not auditioning for young Tom... I like the other guy. He was perfect for the role... he had the perfect handsome/evil look. I feel kinda bad that their casting for HBP. Part of me doesn't want to see it, because I don't want to see who's going to play Lavender because she will kiss Rupert and it will make me VERY sad.

This is so exciting! I love HBP, and I'm sure the movie will be great. Now I've got some names to Google... I'm just glad that Dan, Rupert, and Emma are going to be in the movie=D

Regulus_Black, I wish I could audition, but I can't. I'm American, and I suck at acting. :) And I can't see me being any of the character. I think they should use this Jon Pall character as Morfin Gaunt. If they don't use Christian Coulson as TMR, then they should so use Cillian Murphy. Even my sister thought he would be good for the part... now that's rare!

What the.. If he's auditioning to be Voldy, I hope he doesn't get the part. He's ugly. Voldy is supposed to have handsome in his teenage years. And this guy doesn't like slighty 'evil' either, nor does he look like a good negotiator. I'm thinking he wants to be 15 year old Tom Riddle, right? That one needs to be a good negotiator. I really don't think this guy is the right man for the job. By the way, whatever happened to the actor in the second movie? Can't they re-use that guy?

I wonder if perhaps he was auditioning for say Greyback. I'm sure we've never seen him in the films before, and he does play a pretty good sized part in the climactic battle in HBP.

i wish they would keep some continuity for the sake of the series and cast Christian Coulsen as young voldy. He was amazing, with just the right amount of evil for young voldy, and he is also handsome. maybe they're gonna cast whoever (i can't spell his name) for the role of voldy once he becomes ugly? cuz they're also gonna have to cast a kid voldie like around age 10. maybe the guy could also be going for the role of gaunt. i hope so atleast.

ooo i wanna be in the movie lol. it's gonna be constant harry potter for the next 3 years. between order, and deathly hallows coming out and waiting for the last 2 films... half-blood due out november of '08 it's gonna be crazy. cannot wait! but it's going to be so sad when it is allll over with. :'(

I'll say he's either going for Scrimgeour or Older Voldemort--like when his fame is starting to change and get twisted and ugly. But he does seem old for that too--Scrimgeour's the best bet. But an Icelander? What happened to a British accent?!

well..I think it's kind of weird that an Icelandic actor is auditioning for a part in HP, I always thought it was all british!! but I do hope he gets some part in the movie, maybe Fenrir, like someone said above. it would be cool to have someone from my country in hpb :)
