HBP Audio Book enters APA Hall of Fame
At the National Press Club's Audie Awards in Washington DC last night, Half-Blood Prince was entered into the Audio Publishers Association's brand-new Hall of Fame. HBP is the very first book to have been awarded with this prestigious honor. The book was narrated by Jim Dale for Listening Library.

HURRAY! Another feat performed by the HP books!
thats awsome! really! i LOVE HBP its my second favorite ( my favorite is the 5th. oh the drama oh the pain Dolores Umbridge you hate her but at the same time love her! she makes harry's life miserable and i like that! although i thought it pretty unfair to replace Dumbledore v_v the witch! *literally* o_o)
YAY!!!!!! Cool!
That's AMAZING!! Congrats JK, and to all of the recording artists around the world, you all deserve a big round of applause!!
WOOHOO!!! great great job!!!!!
Dang! All of these amazing awards and stuff from one series! Wow...but no wonder, it's a fantastic book! GO JO!
Awesome!!! (YESSSS!!!!! TOP 20!)
I have that one!!
I've never listened to an audio book before. . .maybe I should
whoa dude that is flipping awesome man! hehe
This is great news! I've never listened to the HPB audio book, but I have listened to the CoS and SS audio books about three or four years ago on a long car trip. I'll never forget them; they were much more interesting than reading and got my family into HP. This makes being a HP fan a great honor. Jim Dale is a great reader. He's done a lot of work on the stage, and as a HP fan and Broadway fanatic, I feel he's provided a great link between the two. He deserves the honor as well. This is such great news!
That's great! I've never actually heard one of the audio books, but I think I probably should...I've heard they're awesome...
Stephen fry is much better.
Cool!!!!!!!!!
cool, thats great! but i didnt know that there was a National Press Club for Audie Awards...ooh thts cool i live near dc....
Who all has listened to Jim Dale read HP?!?!?!?! He's THE BEST! So deserves it!!!!!
wow! Harry Potter even wins awards that never exsisted before... pretty amazing NOT DEAD!
I've actually listened to both Jim Dale and Stephen Fry. They are both very good narrators. Unfortunately I prefer Stephen Fry if for any reason, because I can't stand it when Jim Dale does a voice for Hermione saying "Harry". You just have to hear it for yourself as I can't explain that well. That and the fact that every man he does over 35 sounds like he's been sipping on Brandy for about 12 hours. Still as I said, they are both very good when it comes to readings.
That is amazing!
I've never heard the Jim Dale stuff! Awosme thought! I love commenting!
This is great!!! yippee!!!
WooT WooT Go Harry Potter!!!!
Aethos, lmao. I totally understand what you're trying to say. The brandy thing cracked me up!
awesome
yay! i love harry potter! yay! yay!.......yay!!
ahhh i need more news!!!
yay :)
They are so good - Jim Dale is amazing!
oh yay that's sooooo cool! =D
That's awesome! Congrats!
Does anyone else prefer Stephen Fry to Jim Dale? Not many people seem to, but I do. Good for Harry Potter -- again! And good for Jim!
I mean -- I prefer Jim Dale's voice talents (which are certainly stunning!), but I like the emotion that Stephen Fry puts into the reading. What do you think?
Amazing! =D
what about the stephen fry version of HBP. that is the bomb!
Spiffiness, I love the HBP.
cool, maybe i should have a listen to HBP
To aspiring_witch: I haven't heard Stephen Fry's version of HBP. Does he put a lot of emotion into Dumbledore's death?
WOW!!!! thats awsome!=) IF U THINK THE SORTING HAT IS A HORCRUX PASTE THIS IN UR COMMENT!!!!THANK YOU.
I can see that, with such little prestige, they would want to enter in a book that will give them at least mediocre media coverage.
Awe that is so awesome
