I thought this scene was almost perfectly drawn from the book, the only thing is that it didn't seem like the "Hem Hem" was audible enough, you could only notice it if you were expecting it, but maybe it was because of the quality of the video. Also, I agree with LunaLouise, I can't understand what Fred and George say. Still a great clip though! Only 52 more days!!!!

OMG!!! I just saw that on Ellen about 5 minutes ago. I'm really pleased with Umbridge...she's straight out of the book with the little cough thing and everything. WOW. And the fact that the speech was basically word to word from the book....I'm SSSSOOOOOO happy right now!!!!!

Oh hooray!! At first I was really afraid they were going to turn my favourite (as for now) HP novel into some rather cheap, commercial, not-true-to-the-book movie, but the trailers somewhat changed that. Now, however, I'm starting to become really enthusiastic...this scene was done almost exactly the way I imagined it, and where it didn't meet my imagination it fitted anyway. But I agree, the hem-hem is slightly too shrill. But come on, how would they even hear her if she did it the book way in this huge hall ;) Umbie looks slightly too little toady, but her performance definitely hits the spot for me!!

forgot to mention: I LOVED the look on Snape's face when Dumbledore says to welcome the new DADA teacher!!!! Awesome. And I thought it was funny when there was a silence and the camera panned over the teachers, and you see Trelawny looking paranoid. lol. And I liked how they showed Hermione when Umbridges talks about change and stuff, cuz that totally is related to the book (like how Hermione is the only one who knows what Umbridge was talking about). Oh and when Umbridge looks at Dumbledore when she talks about the different headmasters, and Dumbledore like fake smiles - great stuff! OH!! And I am glad they have some Fred/George action in there, that was funny! Just this one clip shows how good the movie could be. CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

that was awesome, but umbrigde's voice was really echoy. i hope it's not like that in the movie. even with that the movie well be awesome.

i like it! for those of you who feel umbridge isnt perfect, its very hard to find a good fat british actress who actually looks like a toad. but i think she has managed to capture umbridges persona very nicely. she'll definitely be annoying enough. her appearance is something that can only be perfectly captured in the book but i think she looks fine here. plus out of all the actors theyve chosen for the hp characters hers is far from the worst with regards to looks.

oh hem gee, i wish that i could see the elen show. I have dvr but i couldn't reocrd it because there is this little thing called school... and yea, i had to get sucked into mainstream for that. so therefore, i ended up going to school and missing ths show, Kinda sux doesn't it? yup i thought so. I've promised myself that i am not going to watch any more of these snippits on this website because i want to see the movie like as a whole. hmmm. wow. that was pretty creepy i must say. i do like the perspective..and the atmosphere. it isn't exactly how i felt, or rather pictured in my mind while i read it, but very interesting. i just hope that the trailer wasn't just all of the good scenes..and the rest of the movie a big pile of rubbish. the reviews from the screening weren't very, well exciting. i just hope it turns out alright or better than the rest, of the movies that is, at least.

That was creepy. Did you hear that eerie kind of music in the background? You could BARELY hear it. It made the moment perfect. I'm excited about the movie, but not THAT excited. I like the books more, so I am looking more forward to the book more than the movie, but still the movie looks like it will be great. I think all the movies were. They tried to stay as true to the book as possible. The books are getting more and more serious and that's what makes them so exciting and it's what draws you in like this.

i felt that there could have been a few more "hem hems" in there. i donno, i always thought that Umbridge did a whole bunch of "hem hems" in the book. ginnypotter719, I understand what you mean, but I highly doubt that this movie will let you down. For one thing the director and producers read the book, of course, and put it in THEIR perspective of how it happened, and everyone's perspective will be different. I'm sure they had a lot of people write the screen play and get as many perspectives as possible. Also, they have a lot of fans out there that they can't let down. I don't know, but do you think J. K. Rowling would let her movie be a bad one? I heard though, she lets them do their own thing, and they always call and ask for tips, and she gives it to them. She is always giving hints and puts them in the movies, I think. Also, they have to make money, get good reviews, and get people besides fans to see the movie. So I don't think that this movie will be a bad one. Did you know all four Harry Potter movies are in the top ten grossing movies of all time? It might have changed since I've seen it. This movie will be like all the other movies and the other movies were almost as good as the books. Don't think so negatively..

I hope this is the only clip they release until the movie comes out. I know it's fun to see scenes such as this, but if they reveal too much, they will ruin the movie for everybody. That's what happened to GOF.

Wow. I just spent the last hour watching Ellen to see the clip. It was a bit irritating how it took so long, but when I finally saw it, I was impressed. I'm now even more excited for the movie.

I love ellen, and i live in the eastern central, so wheni got home from school, i was hanging out with my sister and i looked at the clock, itwas 4:15! ellen started at four and i was praying that i hadn't missed it. thankfully, i was relieved when it said "still ahead: sneak peak at the new harry potter movie". it was AWESOMe!! by the way, mugglenet, the vid doesn't work!
