What the heck? Why would they change the release date after it's already been set for months. I'm going to Enlightening 2007 and OOTP was going to be shown there, but now I have no idea in the world what I'm doing because I can't miss camp.

YAY! i'm sure the reason the date was moved is to compete with the summer box office race. spiderman did awesome in the opening weekend so disney moved the opeing of pirates back several hours to intill hype- and it worked- so warner bros. is probably trying to follow disney's lead- and what better cinematic juggernaut to follow- by opening early.

I think I know why...if it was released the 13th, the UK would have seen it the 12th, and then they have the 13th a few hours ahead of us, so it's almost like the US would have to wait two days after the UK sees it! Why don't they just set both as the same day to avoid confusion?

AHHHHHH I'm pissed...when does it come out in Germany? I guess I could see it in German...i love that it's earlier but gosh, oh well the book is more important, after all it is the last one.

Seeing as it's just the movie, which I'm not overly excited about (although looking forward to it!), I'm not too bothered that America gets it earlier than us Brits. I actually could see this coming, when we first heard Britain would get it a day earlier than the US, I guessed instantly that they would change America's release date to the same as ours, or earlier. Which has happened. It's a shame though, seeing as it's a British movie, that Britain can't at least have it on the same day as the US. Ah, well, enjoy it anyways lol! No spoiling it for us when the time comes, mind. :)

okay that's odd they changed the date. I was perfectly content with i ocming out on July 13th--hhmm it would make sense they did it to put more space between the movie and the book... this gives people more chances to see the movie and to recover from the movie before the book comes out.... *shrugs* no complaint here... just odd that it happens.... Sorry UK people though... that sucks!

it says on leaky that this is only for the u.s. (i dont know if this is true). and even tho im from the US its unfair for the UK if its released after us. after all the book the actors all come from there, they deserve either first or at the same time.
