I love the movies, but I wish the book would have a summer all to itself. This is because some people would rather go to a movie then read a book. So if the movie is available, a lot of those HP fans who aren't as interested in the book as other won't read the book. I just think, being the seventh book, it deserves as much glory as humanly possible. I LOVE HP! :)

But wouldn´t it be a bit weird if it came out almost at the exact same time as the film?? You know, I have waited for these two for quite some time and then, boom, the come right after eachother...well anyway, I can´t wait to read it!!

i hope it comes out earlier in the summer than august so i have a while to read and reread it before returning to school cause then i wont have time! i was rereading HBP last night for the millionth time and it kind of hit me...its almost over...what on earth will i have to talk about when its over? oh dear...

Jo did say that she was going to write the book in year 2006, so that would mean that she'll have the book finished by the end of the year, so I see no reason why the book can't be published by summer 2007, which will be a whole half of a year later!!!!!!

Lord_Nomolous is right in a sense. If the book came out in the school year, I would read it, and DISREGARD ALL MY SCHOOLWORK. lol. Then I would fail...and that would be bad.

Arther7-- depending on the book, it could take *years* to edit and publish. Not that this is likely, but a manuscript edited, perfected and printed in less than six months would be pretty insane.

i actually watched a bit of the interview on the Indian news channel lol! my mum was watching it then they showed the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix book (UK copy) and they showed her talking about JKR.

I hope so!!!!!!!!! I'm glad that she says nothing about the summer of 2007, since I'd rather have the book and the movie spaced out just a tiny bit. As of now, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for the book to come out on a break or three day weekend (away from school!!!) if it's not released during the summer. I want plenty of time to read it again and again and again......

Wow 07 is goiing to be a SWEEEEET summer and its like the summer between my junior and senior year !! Although if it doesnt come out i can always survive on movie five and we can stretch this hp fun out with rumors and speculating even longer!!! so its a double edged sword u know o well either way SWEET

This is another reason that I love Jo. She could make millions (more) of money if she continued to write books after 7. I mean, come on, wherever you look there's HP...but she sticks to the story. She writes as she imagines it should be, not how her "fans" expect it to be. I mean so many famous people do outragous(sp?) stuff just be more likeable, I'm glad she isn't like that.

It'd be awesome if it was July 7, 2007.....I know there has been a lot of speculation about the movie and book coming out around the same time, but even so, I don't think it will matter. When we Potter fans are deprived of new stuff, we'll do what we always do. Reread the books and have movie marathons!

GRRRR! I opened up mugglenet and all I saw were the words "Book seven release" And I started freaking out. Last night I was saying how one day I'm going to log oon and it's just going to be there, smiling back at me in happy big white letters, so I log on an see this...It was one of those YEEEES!!! O.O...T_T Poo. Things...Oh well...Woo for '07. I'm only going to be 15, so I'll still be younger than Harry, but oh well ^^
