14 or younger!!!! THAT IS SUCH BULL-- ughhh this is SO FRUSTRATING... don't they know that the ORIGINAL hp fans are growing older with harry!? all the 1st fans who actually remember the release and rise of HP are 17, 18, and 19 years old already
im getting so sick of this british kid crap ... what about us adult Americans ... why cant an oppertunity come to us 20 year old Americans ... its a bloody outrage! .... *sigh* ... for once ... im ashamed to be a 20 year old American *crawls in hole and cries*
what?? i'm 11 but i'm not living in UK!! can't it be international?! how about the asian fans?! the americans?! australians?! make one international!!
darn.... One year too old....
Fah, again the British kids get all the chances. Grr. Why doesn't JK do something?
Whats with all the young ages? I know that Blue Peter is a childrens program but that doesn't mean that older kids (15-18) shouldn't be given a chance. I was complaining about the premiere competition being on Cartoon Network but this is even worse! I think they should up the age limit for all of us who are just too old! :(
*sigh* Oh to be under 14 again...
My life would be complete if I could meet Jo. Unfortunately, I do not live in the UK. I do know the show though. I remember when they got in all that trouble by fixing that one competition. I think they mucked something up and gave the prize to some kid in the audience......that was the week I was in London.......*lost in thoughts*...........Oh! I have a question. Does anyone know if the little countdown thingy changed with the new release date of OOTP. I have it on my desktop and I'm too lazy to count the days.
no no no no no no no no no NO..uurrrgghhh i am 15...(16 next month yay) why do the little kids get it...huh? why not some of us older peeps......oh well.....will i ever meet jkr??? oh well..good luck to those people entering..i suppose
NOW LOOK AT THIS: THESE ARE THE TRANSLATIONS FOR THE DH: Croatian: Harry Potter i sveci smrtnici (”Mortal Saints”) Dutch: Harry Potter en het Fatale Heiligdom (”Deathly Sanctuary”) Estonian: Harry Potter ja Surmap hakud (”Saints of Death”) Finnish: Harry Potter ja kuoleman pyhimykset (”The Saints of Death”) French: Harry Potter et les saints mortuaires/mortels (”Deathly/Mortal Saints”) German: Harry Potter und die todbringenden Heiligen (”Deathly Saints”) Hebrew: Harry Potter ve Ruchot Hamavet (”Spirits of Death”) Italian: Harry Potter e il rito mortale (”Deathly Ritual”) Portuguese: Harry Potter e os Santos Mortuários (Portuguese, “Deathly Saints”) Romanian: Harry Potter si Ingerii Mortii (”Angels of Death”) Serbian: Hari Poter i Smrtonosni Blagoslovi (''Deathly Blessing'') Spanish: Harry Potter y los santos de la muerte (”Saints of Death”) Turkish: Harry Potter ve Olumcul Takdis (Turkish, “Deathly Blessing”) So what can we make out of this? Croatian, Estonian, French, Finnish, German, Portuguese and Spanish translations clearly state that DH are people! ''DEATHLY SAINTS''. The Hebrew translation isn't to much off the pace with the translation of ''SPIRITS OF DEATH'' because the ''Saints'' are probably dead so maybe we could call them ''SPIRITS''. But let's look at the other titles... What's up with the Dutch translation the ''DEATHLY SANCTUARY'', that can't be a person, it is either a temple or shrine or something like that, thus a building or place. Furthermore, the Italian ''ANGELS OF DEATH'' seems a bit off. And the identical Serbian and Turkish translation, the ''DEATHLY BLESSING'' which could probably refer to a spell or curse or some other ACTION. And to fire things up even more, Jo threw the ''Relics of Death'' into play. Relics, RELICS = OBJECTS. And now the big question... If the titles will match the plot as it should be (I really can't imagine that an Italian reader will read the ''ANGELS OF DEATH'' and find no such angels in the book) how will ...
I got really excited about it, and I even was thinking of some good questions (Are you offended by Potter Puppet Pals? I've always wanted to ask her that), but no, you have to be British. My friends parents are from the UK. Does that count?
The chances are so slim...Even if I did win I would faint or something and not believe what had happened (Wish I was British!! I'm only 13!)). I wish one of the mugglecasters/mugglenet workers could enter! They're the ones who have earned it! Not some British 9 year old.
I...am...so...mad! I don't live in the UK! That was the ONLY thing that kept me from going...Grr because I'm a good artist, under 14, I always wanted to ask J.K Rowling what her favorite flavor of ice cream was, and I want to go sooo badleeeeeey!
