Laura Mallory fails again
A judge in Gwinnett County, Georgia ruled on Tuesday that the Potter books can stay in school libraries (after local concerned parent Laura Mallory tried once again to have them banned from schools and libraries). After all of these attempts in court, Mallory has finally admitted she may "need a whole new case from the ground up."

So what this chick is trying to do, is take the books out of our kids' hands and replace them instead with a gun? What would you rather be doing, reading a book or doing drugs on the corner? The Nazis banned books. Censorship of this nature is often a pre-curser to a tyrannical government (no matter what the size). How does her morality/Christianity gel with the fact that she is trying to do the same thing as murderers, dicatators and the like?

It's a bit sad that she's devoting an enormous chunk of her life and time to something so trivial. With all of that drive and ambition, she could be doing great things for a meaningful cause, instead of trying to ban a book that promotes values and gets children to read and think. I admire the courage of her convictions, but really now, the whole thing seems a bit senseless in the grander scheme of things. Especially when you consider what's REALLY evil in this world.

OT: JK Rowling's agent has just confirmed that she may pen an additional book about Hogwarts and the Harry Potter characters based on the volumes of notes she kept as she wrote the Harry Potter series. This was in my local newspaper!!! Don't know if it's 100% confirmed or not.
