WOMBAT part 3 now up!
WOMBAT part 3 now up! JKRowling.com has been updated with the third part of the WOMBATs (Wizards' Ordinary Magic and Basic Aptitude Tests)! Click on the eraser on Jo's desk to get to the door whose "Do Not Disturb" sign has now been removed.

According to the site, "The Grade 3 WOMBAT is the final examination, and the most difficult. Not only is the subject matter much more advanced, but the examination is also more stringently marked. Certain answers will LOSE YOU MARKS, so choose carefully..."

We recommend you try to figure out how to open the door on your own, but for instructions, click here.
1. Click on the fly (on the window). It turns into a key.
2. Drag this to the keyhole.
3. Stack the shapes on top of each other: Triangle on line, circle on triangle.
4. Click this shape, then click the exam paper to begin.

If you're having problems opening the door, try clearing your cache/cookies (see your browser's Internet options), or access the site at jkrowling.net or jorowling.com.

bspice- the clock won't start moving till the door closes!

Posted by bspice Jun 16th 2007

O I didn't know that. I haven't taken any of the other tests. Thanks,

Posted by Leo Jun 16th 2007

Hmmmm.. Quite a few clues hidden in that test I reckon ^___^ xo

Posted by arista_malfoy Jun 17th 2007

hmmm. Is it just me or my fly is not working right?? I've been clicking on it over and over and over and over and over again and it doesn't wanna turn into a key? :[ I guess I'll just have to try again later. But do tell me if you're having the same problems too.

Posted by arista_malfoy Jun 17th 2007

Oh! I went to the UK site [[I think]] And u have to click on the 2 bottles there then on the fly. And it activates..

Posted by Clean0002 Jun 17th 2007

When will we get the results?

Posted by GINAismagical Jun 17th 2007

Okay, so I go to the site and every site that has been suggested. And I try and go to it on Internet Explorer and OPERA. And NOTHINGS working. They fly isn't letting me click on it. And I can't figure out why. I've tried everything and now I'm really frustrated. I would LOVE some help figuring this out. Maybe it's because I'm using a Dell Laptop, I read over some of the comments and saw people questioning that. So if someone could just let me know, I would be forever thankful.

Posted by GINAismagical Jun 17th 2007

Well, nevermind now. I went to the UK site, and it FINALLY worked. I'm not sure what's up with the US site, but if you want to take the test, go to the UK site. Although you DO have to click on the 2 bottles, and then click and hold down the fly. Then follow all of the other instructions. And you'll know when you've gotten the shapes in the correct order, because they will sparkle. (: Have fun taking the test, that first part was challening but after that it was easy. ESPECIALLY the dark arts portion.

A cool thing i found is that when you are in the room with the door, before you enter, if you click on the red and green bottle and pick them up, then hover them over the plant (one by one of course) it brings the plant back to life and you get to see some cool stuff. just thought people who didnt know, would like to :D

Posted by lisa_loser Jun 17th 2007

you have to click on the uk flag instead of the accessibility site to be able to click on the fly on the window:D

Posted by ginnysueweasley Jun 17th 2007

okay so this may sound stupid but i have tried numerous times to just login to attempt to take the wombat and i can't find where i need to sign up or whatever is required..it just keeps asking for a code and since i can't provide one i am left wondering what a wombat would be like while everyone else enjoys them! HELP ME!!!

Posted by elephantandcastle Jun 18th 2007

what door has to close before the clock will move? all the doors I've seen have closed but I still can't get my scores. anyone figure this out?

Posted by 143hp Jun 18th 2007

FOR ANYONE THAT'S HAVING PROBLEMS ON THE US SITES (.ORG, .NET, ETC) GO TO JKROWLING.COM, TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE THERE ARE ABOUT SIX BUTTONS WITH DIFFERENT FLAGS ON THEM. CLICK ON THE ONE WITH ENGLAND'S FLAG. FROM THERE, DO EVERYTHING INSTRUCTED. I TRIED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AND THIS WAS THE ONE PLACE IT WORKED! :D

Posted by reneeching Jun 18th 2007

Posted by SarahLDean Jun 18th 2007

Oh I am devastated. I got in on Friday (I have been away for a month!) but because they wanted my Wombat number I thought I'd look for it over the weekend and then take it when I found it. I hadn't found it and now it's closed! Is there any chnace we can see the test even though I won't be able to take it? And I am re-reading HPATHBP in anticipation for HPATDH!

Posted by maria2 Jun 18th 2007
