Interview with Wrockvolution:
1. Why do you have a wizard rock podcast?
I have a wizard rock podcast to promote new bands/new songs/new albums...you name it. It's also kind of a look into the life of a wizard rocker (myself) ‘cause I talk about things in my life that affect my band and songs and whatnot. I also do it ‘cause I know how stressful being in a wizard rock band can be and my podcast can provide a little comic relief for all the wrockers out there who listen to my podcast.
2. What do you personally get out of hosting a wizard rock podcast?
I get enjoyment, pride, and accomplishment knowing that people enjoy what I have to say and like it. It's a very nice stress relief for me.
3. How long have you hosted the podcast?
I've been hosting Wrockvolution since about September [2007].
4. Does your podcast have a particular style/slant and if so what influences that?
The style is...randomness. I'm influenced by every little thing in the my life, which leads to the most random episodes.
5. Do you plan to continue having episodes even though the Harry Potter series has been completed, and why?
Most definitely.
6. What is your favorite part of being on a wizard rock podcast?
The fans and knowing that there are people out there who can enjoy themselves when they listen to my podcast.
7. What is your least favorite part of being on a wizard rock podcast?
Coming up with new episodes and then recording them. I've gotten so busy lately that all episodes have been kinda slow on getting up.
8. What advice do you have for potential future wizard rock podcast hosts?
Have fun with the podcast. And don't except to have a million subscriptions after your first episode, it takes time. And it might be long, but it is so worth it.
9. How do you explain wizard rock/your podcast to people who are new to the genre or to people who (heaven forbid) have never read Harry Potter?
Wow...ummm *ponders* that's a tough one. Not really sure I have an answer for that.
10. Is your podcast completely DIY, and do you think that being completely DIY is an integral part of being a wizard rock podcast?
Yes, my podcast is completely DIY. And most podcasts (for the most part) should be DIY otherwise it takes the fun out of doing it. I've learned so much from having this podcast, it's really a pain in the neck...and the pain just doesn't go away, and I kinda like it.
11. Is there any specific message you would like to share with your fans?
I just wanna say thanks you guys. Without you, this podcast would be nothing and I hope you guys enjoy the episodes I have in store for the new year.
