Bella and the Death Eaters
Basic Info:
Interview with Bella and the Death Eaters:
1. Why do you play wizard rock?
Wizard rock is like a great feast for the soul – it combines 2 things I love: Harry Potter and Music...also it's almost too fun to be allowed xD
2. What do you personally get out of being in a wizard rock band?
Personally I just get to have fun playing music and get to meet some really wicked Harry Potter fans
3. What influences your music/your style?
Everything and anything...I'm into a lot of stuff so I borrow from a lot of people.
4. How long have you been playing?
Wiz-rock for about 4 months.
5. Do you plan to continue having shows and writing songs even though the Harry Potter series has been completed, and why?
Yes I do because Harry Potter is one of the best
fandoms there is...just because the series is over I don't see why we should have to stop - as long as it's fun and encourages people to read it's great!
6. What is your favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?
The groupies xD
7. What is your least favorite part of being in a wizard rock band?
Writing music because I can't play that well so I'm afraid of repeating myself.
8. What advice do you have for potential future wizard rockers?
Get out be loud and have fun...don't worry about having the best songs! As long as you enjoy them and like playing them it's worth it.
9. How do you explain wizard rock to people who are new to the genre or to people who (heaven forbid) have never read Harry Potter?
People just assume it's another weird thing I do...if they ask what it is I say "Basically it's rock music about Harry Potter." If they ask why, I say well why not?
10. Is your band completely DIY, and do you think that being completely DIY is an integral part of being a wizard rock band?
DIY all the way. I think it shows in my music, lol... but I don't see the harm in having some professional help...I think the joy of wizard rock is that it can just be you and a guitar and people will still enjoy it.
11. Have you ever been approached by a corporate record-label asking to sponsor your band? If so, what was your reaction and if not, what would your reaction be in such a situation?
I got approached about one of my parodies but shot them down...I know I'm not good enough to warrant a record contract so I'm naturally suspicious... I don't think wizard rock is mainstream enough to be honest but if people can get the breaks good for them.
12. Has your band ever had any copyright-infringement issues, and if so how have you dealt with them?
Not so far xD
13. Is there any specific message you would like to share with your fans?
Just don't be afraid to be the weird kid, don't be afraid to do what you love, don't worry about what people think...Just be yourself because you are awesome!
