It’s been three days since the script book of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was unleashed upon the world, and love it or hate it, you can’t deny one thing – the book’s tremendous selling power. This morning, Scholastic announced that sales within the first two days of release reached over 2 million copies.

With a new trailer and lots of fun tidbits from the cast, there was a lot to get excited about when the cast of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” appeared at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend. Pottermore got a chance to spend even more time with actors Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Katherine Waterston than the rest of us – here are some highlights!

Very little information is shared with theatergoers beforehand. This was enough to get us to buy tickets, but does it guarantee an enjoyable night?
The bad news is that tickets for “Privacy”, currently running in New York City and starring Daniel Radcliffe, are sold out. The good news is that if you missed out on seeing the show, you can still see Radcliffe live, in person, discussing the themes of the play as part of the Public Theater’s Forum series – and tickets are still available!
Those of us who are unable to make it London to see “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” are counting down the days until the script is released – it won’t be long now! To celebrate this momentous occasion, Waterstones is hosting a drawing to win one of seven copies of the book signed by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne!
Can’t get enough of Matthew Lewis? If you live in the UK, you’re in luck – he’s set to star in the play “Unfaithful”, opening in London next month!
Irish solicitor Brian Conroy noticed some trademark registrations today that are very interesting to “Harry Potter” fans – Warner Bros. has applied for a “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” trademark, which would include a license for “motion picture films,” among other things.
The “Harry Potter” books have won the top spot in a new BBC poll asking adults which book they think every child should read – not that we’re surprised!
Back in May, it was announced that J.K. Rowling would be attending a special gala performance of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” to benefit her charity, Lumos. As of this morning, a new batch of tickets to the gala is available via an auction!
