It’s been a little over a year since we learned that Matthew Lewis was set to appear in the film adaptation of Jojo Moyes’s bestselling novel “Me Before You”. In a recently released video, he talks a little about his role as Patrick, the boyfriend of main character Louisa.
While these days it seems like you can barely turn a corner without seeing updates about Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe, news about the third member of the “Harry Potter” trio, Rupert Grint, is a little more scarce – which is why we’re excited to learn about one of Grint’s upcoming projects!
Fans who are set to visit London this summer for the opening of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will have one more activity to add to their list – visiting House of MinaLima, an exhibition of props and limited-edition prints opening in June!
In a move worthy of J.K. Rowling herself, London’s Big Green Bookshop has pledged that all profits from pre-orders of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will go to local school libraries.
Ever since January, fans have been hoping for more information regarding Ilvermorny, the North American wizarding school. Initially, we hoped J.K. Rowling would reveal more about the school’s location and structure in her new writings about magic in North America, but the school was barely mentioned at all. Now, apparently impatient, hackers have allegedly investigated Pottermore’s source code to get new details.
A new graphic design offering from MinaLima was one of the first pieces of news released after we learned that “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” would become a film trilogy. In the years since, we’ve anxiously waited to find out just exactly what happens to Newt in New York City – but we’ve also been excited to get a glimpse of how “Potter” alumni Eduardo Lima and Miraphora Mina dream up the graphic design of the 1920s wizarding world.
We’re so happy to be returning to YALC for another Potter Party this year! After the success of last year’s fun-filled hour, we just couldn’t stop ourselves from planning an entire day of “Potter” games, activities, and general wizarding goodness for you all to enjoy. After all, it is Harry’s birthday.
Emma Watson, who in recent years has made raising awareness about feminism a priority in her public life, recently interviewed Geena Davis for “Interview” magazine. Besides being an actress herself, Geena Davis is the founder of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, an organization that collects statistics about gender representation in children’s media.

Now, in an unexpected move, Pottermore has announced that Little, Brown UK and Scholastic will be publishing the screenplay for “Fantastic Beasts” as a book.
