The release of JK Rowling's Tales of Beedle the Bard is quickly approaching. With that in mind, MuggleNet and Alivan's, Master Wandmakers want to get everyone in the Beedle mood by opening a contest which asks for YOUR best Beedle-like tale!

How it Works: Write a tale that is of a similar style to the Tales of Beedle the Bard. You've read the Tale summaries on Amazon.com so you know what we're looking for: objects with feet, pixie dust, hairy hearts, cackling stumps, etc! Come up with a tale that is unique in its own way, but relates to the overall theme JK Rowling has created for Beedle.

The Rules:

1. Your story must be between 500 and 1,500 words.
2. Your story must not be crude or inappropriate for young readers.
3. Your story must have a theme similar to the tales in Beedle the Bard.
4. Your story must be in a saved format recognized by Microsoft Word and attached in an e-mail.
5. Your story must be submitted by 12:01 AM EST December 1st, 2008.

How to Submit Your Story:

• Send an e-mail to andrew at staff dot mugglenet dot com with your first name, last initial, age, location, and story. Don't forget, the story must be in a Microsoft Word-recognized format and ATTACHED to the e-mail.

The Judging:

• Your stories will be read by MuggleNet and Alivan's Master Wandmakers staff members and we will determine the top three.
